Liv Morgan vs Shayna Baszler Set for WWE Clash at the Castle 2022
Liv Morgan will defend WWE Smackdown Women’s Championship against Shayna Baszler at Clash at the Castle 2022 event.
WWE announced a Gauntlet match for the #1 contender for the title this week on SmackDown featuring Aliyah, Shotzi, Natalya, Raquel Rodriguez, Xia Li, Sonya Deville and Shayna Baszler.
Sonya Deville and Aliyah started the match with Sonya eliminating Aliyah from the match. Raquel entered the match and went on to eliminate Sonya and Shotzi. Natalya worked on her leg but Raquel was able to fight out of peril and eliminated Natalya also. Xia Li was next to be eliminated by the marathan woman of the match.
Shayna Baszler entered the match as the last participants. Shayna worked on Raquel injured leg before turning the focus on her arm. Raquel fougth back but Shayna put her in the Kirafuda Clutch which turned Raquel towards fading. Shayna then countered a roll up to get the pin and win the Gauntlet match.
This is the second match to be announced for Clash at the Castle event after Universal title match between Roman Reigns and Drew McIntyre.
Liv Morgan won the SmackDown Women’s Championship from Ronda Rousey at Money in the Bank event by cashing in her MITB breifcase. She later defended the title against Ronda at SummerSlam where the match ended in controversy.
