All Elite Wrestling will soon add more big names to their roster.

CM Punk is already in talks with them for a contract as we reported here. But another industry legend might have already signed with AEW.

As per a report from Cassidy Haynes of BodySlam.net, Daniel Bryan is signed with AEW. Their source says that Bryan is “100% locked in for AEW.” Haynes adds that Bryan had been looking for a reduced schedule with relatively the same money that he was making in WWE.

Bryan also wanted to have a say in creative input regarding his character along with the opportunity to work over in Japan. Reportedly, AEW has agreed to both conditions. However, the details on when and where he will debut with AEW are not known.

With AEW All Out not so far, we can expect that Bryan could debut at the event. But, he could also be saved for AEW’s New York Debut on 22 September.

Daniel Bryan left WWE in April 2021 after his contract expired and he decided not to renew with the company. On-screen, Bryan lost a career vs title match to Universal Champion Roman Reigns on the 30th April episode of SmackDown.

Bryan worked with WWE for more than 11 years. He first signed in 2009 and returned back in 2010. Bryan has been a Grand Slam Champion with WWE, winning World Heavyweight, WWE Championship, Intercontinental Championship, and several tag team titles.

It was reported earlier WWE had had no internal discussions about Bryan returning to the promotion. It was also reported that WWE believes that Bryan is bound for AEW. Bryan was not on the list of talent plans for merchandising, licensing and future action figure releases by Mattel.

Keep tuned in for the latest news and updates from AEW.
