Nikki Cross Helped Damage CTRL Regain Tag-Titles at WWE Crown Jewel
Damage Ctrl regained the WWE women’s tag-team titles with a little assistance from Nikki Cross at WWE Crown Jewel 2022.
Alexa Bliss and Dakota Kai started off the match and were involved in some back and forth attacks until Dakota made the tag.
Sky came in, but Alexa managed to tackle her and she tagged Asuka. Later, when Asuka was on the top rope, Dakota distracted the referee, and Sky hit her with a dropkick. Asuka fell outside the ring and injured her knee.
As a result, Damage CTRL dominated the match for a while until Alexa received a hot tag and began her offense. Alexa even gets a nearfall after she hits Sky with the Code Red.
Soon, another jaw-dropping moment took place when Asuka hit the Tower of Doom on Damage Ctrl and Alexa Bliss.
However, when Bliss had the match in control and was about to hit the Twisted Bliss, Nikki Cross appeared from nowhere and took out Alexa Bliss. Dakota Kai covered her and got the pinfall.
Damage CTRL attacked Asuka and Alexa Bliss before Extreme Rules event to stop them from helping Bianca Belair. This put them out of action for a few weeks. However, the duo returned on the go-home edition of Raw with vengeance on their minds.
Bliss & Asuka challenged Dakota Kai & Iyo Sky for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship and became the new champions. The following day, it was announced that the rematch would take place at Crown Jewel 2022.
