Universal Championship & More Matches Announced for SmackDown
Three Big Championship matches are announced for the 25 December 2020 Christmas edition of WWE SmackDown.
WWE has announced a big match for WWE Universal Championship for this week’s episode of WWE SmackDown. Kevin Owens failed to win the title from Roman Reigns last night at WWE TLC 2020 after multiple interferences from Jey Uso. He will now get another title shot in a steel cage match.
This is the second title match announced for SmackDown 25 December 2020 episode. Last night at TLC, WWE also confirmed that Big E will challenge Sami Zayn for the Intercontinental Championship. Big E pinned Zayn in a 8-man tag team match on TLC’s kick-off show.
Also announced is the appearance from the new WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Asuka and Charlotte Flair. They will defend their titles against opponents which will be announced in the coming days.
The Christmas edition of SmackDown is currently planned to be pre-taped on 22 December as WWE gives a holiday to its star for Christmas eve and Christmas day. We will update here if any spoilers come out of taping.
