Daniel Bryan-Rowan become SmackDown Tag Team Champions
Daniel Bryan and Rowan have become the new SmackDown Tag Team Champions at last night’s SmackDown episode.
The Hardy Boyz had to relinquish the SmackDown Tag Team Titles due to an injury to Jeff Hardy. WWE announced that Shane McMahon will crown the new champions this week. Shane came out to address the issue and told us that he could only find one team worthy of the title, Daniel Bryan and Rowan. Daniel Bryan returned to WWE after a month-long injury layoff this Monday at RAW.
Shane was about to hand the titles to Rowan and Bryan just when the Usos entered. They took offense on Shane just handing the titles and told him that Bryan and Rowan have done nothing to deserve the titles in their classic fashion. Shane set up the match between their team right away.
In a short but action-packed filled, Daniel Bryan and Rowan first combined to take out Jimmy with a flying knee and Rowan hit the Iron Claw on Jey to get the win. Later, in a backstage segment, the Heavy Machinery had an awkward moment with the champions indicating their intentions for the titles.
