Becky Lynch vs Bianca Belair Announced for WWE Extreme Rules 2021, Contract Signing Next Week
On this week’s episode of WWE SmackDown, WWE made it official that Bianca Belair will challenge Becky Lynch for the WWE SmackDown’s Women’s Championship at Extreme Rules 2021 PPV.
Becky Lynch made her long-awaited return at SummerSlam and replaced Sasha Banks as the challenger in the SmackDown’s Women’s championship match. She squashed Bianca in a match that lasted less than one minute to become the new champion.
Bianca became the #1 contender last week by winning a fatal 4-way elimination match last week at SmackDown. This week, we saw Becky Lynch praising Bianca and her title reign. Bianca came out and asked Becky for the title match on last night’s show itself. However, Lynch denied and told Bianca that she will defend the title in her own time.
Later, WWE Officials Adam Pearce and Sonya Deville told Becky that she will defend the title against Bianca at Extreme Rules. This will be first title defense in this reign.
Additionally, it was also announced that a contract signing segment will take place next week at Super SmackDown show at Madison Square Garden.
WWE Extreme Rules will take place on September 26 at the Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio. At the time of writing, no other match has been confirmed for Extreme Rules PPV except for the SmackDown’s Women’s Championship match.
