Asuka stands tall; Lacey Evans getting over

Asuka lost the SmackDown Women’s Championship Title to Charlotte last week at SmackDown. The whole WWE Universe, including WWE superstars and fans, expressed their outrage on such discriminatory behavior with her. But by watching Asuka this week, it seems that she did not mind the loss that much and has already moved ahead from it.

An 18 person Mixed Tag Team match took place at SmackDown last night to promote Andre the Giant Battle Royal and the Women’s Battle Royal at WrestleMania. Asuka was part of the group for the match and seemed to jam with the Heavy Machinery prior to match backstage. R Truth and Carmella started their Dance Break in between the match. The match was quickly turned into a brawl when Zelina Vega and Karl Anderson came in and hit them.

Just like it happened the previous night at RAW, the SmackDown stars reminded how a Battle Royal works as everyone started to throw other stars out of the ring. Asuka and Jeff Hardy were the last two stars left in the ring. Asuka first hugged Hardy and then turned on him by throwing him out of the ring. You can gauge how glad she was with how the segment turned out to be, by the gif in below tweet.

Lacey Evans also interrupted the match earlier with her now customary ramp walk. As per the speculations, Asuka is likely to get over Lacey Evans at the Women’s Battle Royal at WrestleMania. Although Evans is not announced for the match until now, she is expected to join the Battle Royal along with Eve Torres.

Till now, 15 matches are announced for WrestleMania on 7 April this year at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey. For the updates on WrestleMania, you can check out our new WrestleMania Center- a one-stop center for all things related to WrestleMania.
