Finn Balor vs AJ Styles Set for WWE Survivor Series WarGames 2022
WWE has added a big singles match to WWE Survivor Series WarGames 2022 event.
Finn Balor and AJ Styles, leaders of Judgment Day and The OC respectively, will clash in a singles match at the event on November 26, 2022.
This week on RAW, AJ Styles was backstage with his stablemates when he said he is tired of this rivalry with Judgment Day which started at WrestleMania 38. He then went on to challenge Finn Balor to end this once and for all. Balor was asked about the challenge later in the show and promptly agreed to it.
The rivalry between AJ Styles and Judgment Day started with Judgment Day’s former leader Edge. When Finn Balor took over the group, he asked AJ Styles to join. Both Finn Balor and AJ Styles are former leaders of NJPW’s Bullet Club. When Styles refused, he was subjected to attacks from Judgment Day.
Styles eventually brought over the Good Brothers, and then Mia Yim, to join to work against the numbers game from Judgment Day. Last week on RAW, The OC stopped Finn Balor from answering to United States title open challenge from Rollins.
This week on RAW, Balor got a title shot against Rollins, but The OC came out when Judgment Day tried to interfere in the match. A resulting brawl between the two sides led to AJ pushing Balor off the top rope. Seth Rollins capitalized on it and hit Balor with the stomp to get the win.
WWE Survivor Series WarGames 2022 now has 3 matches scheduled for the show. A women’s WarGames match will see Team Bianca Belair take on Team Damage CTRL. Mia Yim from the OC and Rhea Ripley from Judgment Day will be on opposite sides in the match.
Additionally, Ronda Rousey will defend SmackDown Women’s Championship against Shotzi. Keep tuned in for more news and updates from the show.
