Welcome to the live results blog from AEW Dynamite episode of February 22, 2023, with live updates in the build-up to Revolution 2023 PPV event.

Airing from Footprint Center in Pheonix, AZ, the show will feature All Atlantic Championship match between Orange Cassidy and Wheeler Yuta. A tag team battle royal to identify one of the challengers for AEW Tag Team Championship at Revolution.

We will hear from Bryan Danielson on the way to his iron man match for AEW World title against MJF. Christian Cage will also be interviewed by Tony Schiavone. The Acclaimed will be in action in a tag team match against Big Bill and Lee Moriarty.

Skye Blue will take on Saraya in a singles match and Jon Moxley will face Evil Uno. Tony Khan will make an important announcement. Tune in below as we post results from AEW Dynamite February 22, 2023 episode with live updates, winners, highlights and more.

AEW RESULTS FEBRUARY 22, 2023

  • Orange Cassidy(c) defeated Wheeler Yuta in a singles match via pinfall to retain AEW All Atlantic Championship.
  • The Acclaimed(Max Caster & Anthony Bowens) defeated The Firm(Big Bill & Lee Moriarty) in a tag team match via pinfall.
  • Saraya defeated Sky Blue in a singles match via pinfall.
  • Jeff Jarrett & Jay Lethal won Tag Team Battle Royal to be added to AEW Tag Team Championship match at Revolution.
  • Jon Moxley defeated Evil Uno in a singles match via technical submission(referee stoppage).

LIVE UPDATES

Orange Cassidy(c) vs Wheeler Yuta – AEW All Atlantic Championship

All Atlantic title match is opening the show. We see Yuta and Cassidy’s confrontation from last week in the picture in picture during the entrances. Cassidy offers a handshake but Yuta swings big. Cassidy ducks to start a plethora of counters. They trade pin attempts quickly until Yuta slips to the floor. Yuta returns to the ring and trips Cassidy. Cassidy hits him with an armdrag. Yuta gets a two-count with a backslide.

Cassidy counters an armdrag and puts on a seatbelt to get a two-count. Claudio Castagnoli comes out and slaps Yuta to hype him up. Yuta takes down Cassidy in the ring. Cassidy is thrown to the floor for a suicide dive. Yuta throws Cassidy into the barricade a few times. Yuta throws him over the timekeeper’s table. Castagnoli returns to the back before Yuta slams Cassidy into the ring post.

Back to the ring, Yuta hits a couple of big chops in the corner. Cassidy stops him to put his hands into his pockets. Yuta hits more chops in anger. Cassidy hits him with lazy kicks to enrage him some more. Cassidy hits a dropkick to counter and then slams Yuta’s head repeatedly into the turnbuckle. Yuta counters a move from the top with an inverted atomic drop. Yuta hits quick strikes before sending Cassidy to the floor with a basement slide to take us to a break.

Yuta hits more chops in the corner. He goes to the top but misses the diamond splash. Cassidy goes for Orange punch but Yuta ducks him. Yuta counters and hits a brainbuster. He follows up quickly with a suplex to get a two-count. Yuta goes for BCC signature stomp but Cassidy hits back with upkicks. Cassidy hugs Yuta which enrages Yuta again. A series of counters once again which ends with a German suplex. Cassidy turns around the second German suplex.

Yuta counters again but Cassidy gets him in a cradle for a two-count. Yuta puts him mouse trap for a near fall. Yuta spits at Cassidy’s face. Cassidy also spits in response. They start trading forearm shots for the next 20 seconds before dropping each other with a clothesline at the same time. They get to the apron where Cassidy counters with a back body drop. He hits a diving DDT on the floor. Back to the ring, Cassidy hits a driller DDT.

Yuta counters Beach Break with a piledriver for a near fall. Yuta hits a hammer elbows to his face. Cassidy turns him around and hits hammer elbows himself. They trade more pin attempts before Cassidy nails Yuta with Orange Punch for a near fall. Cassidy hits Beach Breake for another near fall. Cassidy hits another Orange Punch to get the pinfall.

Winner – Orange Punch

After the match, Cassidy asks Yuta to give him a hug but Claudio comes out to the stage and tells him no.


We cut to backstage where Evil Uno and Hangman Adam Page are there with Renee Paquette. Renee asks Uno how he is getting ready. Uno wonders how does one get ready for Jon Moxley when Page cuts him off. Uno gets enraged and tells him not to get involved in the match no matter what, as Uno wants to stand up for himself.

Ricky Starks Promo

Ricky Starks makes his entrance amid huge cheers. He starts to talk about all the interruptions in his matches in the past few weeks. He says the message is clear that Chris Jericho is not interested in facing him. So, he is moving past Jericho. He has an open offer for anyone to face him at Revolution and asks anyone to answer to it.

JAS music hits before it changes to Chris Jericho’s music as he comes out. The crowd sings “Judas” in full while Jericho just stands at the stage. Jericho says he understands what Starks is trying to do and trying to entice Jericho into a match with him. Jericho says Starks is gonna hold a win over him as a trophy, but it will never happen again because Starks would never beat him again.

Peter Avalon comes out and was going to answer Starks’ challenge. Jericho stops him and drops him with an open challenge. Jericho now walks into the ring and says may be he can take a look at the contract and set up a match at Revolution. Starks says we all know JAS would interrupt in the match once again. He adds that he knows Jericho can beat him by himself without any interruptions from JAS, then why does he need them.

Jericho snatches the contract from Starks and says he will add a clause that JAS remains backstage during their match, but he does not have a pen. Starks says he has one. Jericho snatches the pen and signs the contract for the match. Jericho warns Starks to be careful what to wish for. Jericho exits the ring and Starks smirks at the camera.

The Acclaimed(Max Caster & Anthony Bowens) vs The Firm(Big Bill & Lee Moriarty)

Max and Lee start with arm drags. Bill hits Max with a knee when the referee was talking to Bowens. Bowens gets a blind tag and drops Lee with a DDT for a two-count. We cut to a break.

Bill is in control against Max as we return. Bill misses an elbow drop before he misses a corner splash. Tags to Bowens and Lee. Bowens nails big rights before a thrust kick and more punches. He hits a Death Valley Driver on Lee. Bill comes in and Bowens nails him with big shots. Bill counters with a big boot and also boots Billy Gunn off the apron. Caster drops Bill on the floor with a leg sweep.

The Gunn Club attacks Billy Gunn which leads to Caster and Bowens chasing them down. Bill try to attack Caster but he ducks and hits a German suplex. Lee hits a leg lariat in the ring. More quick moves from Lee before Bowens counters. Bowens hits a twisting slam and tags in Caster. Caster hits Mic Drop from the top to get the pinfall.

Winner – The Acclaimed

The Acclaimed scissor with Billy Gunn in the ring to close the segment.


Tony Schiavone comes to the ramp and asks Christian Cage to come out. Cage comes out but is attacked by Jungle Boy Jack Perry on the stage itself. Perry brings out a couple of chair and sets up con-chair-to. Perry hesitates a bit and this gives Christian a chance to hit him with a low blow. Christian slams Perry’s face into the steel chair a bunch of times. Some referees come out to stop Christian.


Samoa Joe cuts a promo and tells Wardlow that he cut his only connection with his father as he is not a man to messed up.

Saraya vs Sky Blue

Saraya starts with a punch. Blue fires in rapid-fire punches. Blue sends her to the corner. She is sent to the apron and nails a forearm. She goes to the top but Saraya distracts the referee. Toni Storm distracts Blue and allows Saraya to nail him with a big shot. Saraya hits quick punches before throwing Blue to the floor. Toni hits a suplex on Blue on the floor.

Back to the ring, Saraya keeps control for a while. Blue puts him in a body scissor. Saraya counters by dropping her on her back. Blue goes to the top now. She hits a crossbody on Saraya before she rolls through. Blue hits a running knee to midsection before a dropkick. She covers Saraya but the referee was distracted by Storm. Blue nails Storm with a forearm. Saraya puts him in a body stretch to get the pinfall.

Winner – Saraya

After the match, Saraya and Storm had spray paint can but Jamie Hayter and Britt Baker run out. Saraya and Storm leave the ring but stop when Ruby Soho’s music hits. Ruby comes to the stage and signals Hayter for the title.

Bryan & MJF Promo

Bryan Danielson comes out and starts his promo. He promises everything in his power to win AEW World Championship. But first, he wants to talk about how MJF said he hates him. Bryan lists out some horrific things that MJF has done to him. MJF comes out and tells us a story about how he used to feel about the world until he met a girl who changed his outlook. However, that girl left him and now, he only loves BBB, the AEW World Championship. MJF says he is not letting BBB go. MJF says he hates Bryan because Bryan has a beautiful wife and a family but he takes it for granted.

MJF says Bryan has more concussions than anyone in wrestling history. Everytime Bryan step into the ring, he takes his family for granted. MJF says he will punish Bryan for trying to take away one thing in life that he loves most. MJF says he will send a message to Bryan’s children on camera. Bryan screams at him to not get his family into this. MJF looks into the camera and says he will make sure Bryan can never play with his children again.

MJF gets into the ring and continues to run his mouth. It was enough for Bryan to attack him. Bryan takes MJF down in double leg and starts beating him in ground and pound. Security team runs out and separate both men. Bryan breaks free and starts throwing punches. MJF then breaks free and does the same. Some crew members comes out now to join security. MJF leaves to the floor. Bryan runs him down with a forearm shot. Bryan is restrained as we cut to a break.


AEW Women’s Champion Jamie Hayter is backstage with Britt Baker. Tony interviews her and she says Saraya has been trying insult women’s division. She then says Ruby Soho deserves a title shot and she will make it a triple threat match at Revolution for the title.

Tag Team Battle Royal

The battle royal starts with a mele. Aussie Open work against Top Flight. Penta nails Nese with a shot. Josh Woods interrupts him and Nese dumps him over the ropes. Penta lands on the apron. Mark Briscoe runs out and attacks Josh Woods. Penta hits a piledriver on Nese on the apron and eliminates him. Ari Daivari is also thrown out now. We cut to a break.

Aussie Open try to eliminate Darius Martin but The Butcher and the Blade throw all 3 of them over the ropes. John Silver hits quick shots on Blade and throws him over the ropes. Alex Reynolds and Silver work on Butcher now. Reynolds goes for a crossbody but Butcher grabs him and throws him to the floor. Penta eliminates Preston Vance. Vance distracts Penta and this allows Rush to eliminate Penta. Rey Fenix fights Rush and Penta helps him out on the apron. Fenix hits a running kick on the ropes to eliminate Rush.

Butcher throws Silver over the ropes and onto the others on the floor. Chuck Taylor gets eliminated by Matt Menard and Angelo Parker. Danhausen curses Parker and Menard and they are dumped to the floor for elimination. We cut to a break.

Butcher fights Dante and Rush. He sends Rush to the floor with a shoulder block. Butcher eliminates Dante before Rush dumps him over the ropes. Jeff Jarrett and Jay Lethal quickly dumps Rush to the floor. They work on Trent Baretta now. They nail him with punches before Trent turns it around. Trent dumps both of them to the apron and hits a dropkick. Satnam Singh saves them from elimination.

Trent hits a DDT on Lethal. Jarrett hits Trent with a Russian Leg Sweep and dumps him to the apron. Trent returns to the ring and Lethal throws him out again to the apron. Orange Cassidy then saves Trent from elimination. Sonjay Dutt jumps on Cassidy now. Danhausen chases Dutt to the back. Trent eliminates Lethal after hitting him with a DDt. Jarrett hits The Stroke on Trent and throws him out to win the match.

Winner – Jeff Jarrett & Jay Lethal

Tony Khan is backstage with Renee Paquette for an important announcement. Tony says this announcement is about superstars of AEW, so he wants one of the stars to make this annoucement. He brings in Adam Cole. Cole announces a new show – AEW All Access, which will be about what happens backstage in AEW. The show will debut in March on TBS right after Dynamite. Cole also says he will make his in-ring return on the same day as All Access premieres. The date will be announced later.


Jeff Jarrett and Jay Lethal are celebrating backstage. The Gunn Club come in and they propose they try to take out the Acclaimed and other winner so that only two teams compete at Revolution.

Evil Uno vs Jon Moxley

Uno rushes Moxley for quick punches in the corner. Moxley fires back with his shots. Adam Page is watching the match from backstage. Moxley stomps on Uno in the corner. Uno nails a chop and a big boot. Uno slams his waist on the back of Moxley before he tries to choke Moxley with it. Uno hits a running boot and chops in the corner.

They get to the top rope. Moxley tries to remove Uno’s mask but Uno dumps him to the apron and hits a running boot to send him into the barricade. Uno hits a senton from the top and onto the floor. Moxley turns it around by sending Uno into the steel steps. He slams Uno’s face into the steel steps for a few more times. The referee takes Moxley back into the ring now.

Uno beats the countdown. He has blood coming down his head. Moxley hits him with several punches. Uno counters and hits a piledriver. Uno hits another piledriver to get a close two-count. Moxley nails Uno with hammer elbows. Uno reaches the ropes but Moxley brings him to the middle and puts on the bulldog. Uno is about to fade but starts to get up. Moxley puts on a rear naked choke to put Uno to sleep.

Winner – Jon Moxley

After the match, Moxley still does not let go of Uno. John Silver and Alex Reynolds run out and so does Wheeler Yuta and Claudio Castagnoli to start a brawl. Hangman Page also comes out now. He attacks Moxley and hits him with a clothesline with barbed wire around his arm. They brawl on the floor with Page keeping the upper hand. He goes for a buckshot lariat back in the ring but Moxley slips to the floor and gets away. The show goes off the air.
