Rafael Fiziev vs Rafael do Anjos to Headline July 9 UFC Event

According to the latest reports, Rafael Fiziev vs Rafael dos Anjos is booked to headline the UFC Fight Night event on July 9, 2022.

ESPN was the first one to report this news. It has also been confirmed that both these fighters have verbally agreed to collide in a five-round lightweight main event. 

UFC has booked a match between these lightweights for the third time as they failed to materialize the previous two dates. 

Rafael dos Anjos is on a two-fight winning streak and is coming off a unanimous decision victory against Renato Moicano at UFC 272. Before that, he defeated Paul Felder in November 2020. 

On the other hand, Rafel Fiziev has been undefeated since 2019 and is on a five-fight winning streak. He is coming off a KO victory against Brad Riddell. 

Hence, both these fighters will try their best to walk out of the octagon with victory in order to extend their winning streak at UFC Fight Night 209 on July 9. 

UFC is yet to announce this bout officially but they will likely confirm it along with the location and venue of the July 9 Fight Night event.
