Alexander Gustafsson has been replaced by Phillipe Lins to face Ovince Saint Preux at UFC 282 PPV prelims card.

Ovince Saint Preux announced the news through his Only Fans page that former Light Heavyweight title challenger has pulled out and he will now face Lins at UFC 282.

Gustafsson returned to the cage in 2022 after missing the whole of 2021 completely. He lost to Nikita Krylov via first-round knockout at UFC London in July. The reason for his withdrawal remains unknown.

Ovince Saint Preux and Phillipe Lins were scheduled to clash in November last year, but Lins pulled out of the bout. That cancelation was one of 4 fights for Lins in 2021 that got canceled with undisclosed reasons. Lins defeated Marcin Prachnio at a Fight Night event in April this year in his return to the octagon. He was also supposed to face Maxin Grishan, but that bout was also canceled due to a medical issue during the event.

OSP is returning to the light heavyweight division with this bout after a couple of heavyweight bouts. He lost to Tanner Boser last year in June before getting a win over Maurício Rua at UFC 274.

UFC 282 will take place on December 10, 2022, and has UFC Light Heavyweight Championship bout in the main event between Jiri Prochazka and Glover Teixeira.
