Matt Schnell vs David Dvorak Set for UFC 289 in June
A new flyweight bout has been added to the match card of the UFC 289 PPV event.
According to the latest reports, Matt Schnell will square off against David Dvorak in a flyweight bout at UFC 289 on June 10, 2023.
MMA Orbit was the first one to report this matchup, which was later confirmed by Marcel Dorff of Eurosports as well.
Matt Schnell is 2-2-1 in his last five UFC fights. He is coming off a second-round TKO loss against Matheus Nnicolau. Before that, he defeated Su Mudaerji via second-round technical submission. His fight with Rogerio Bontorin was overturned to no contest after Bontorin tested positive for hydrochlorothiazide.
On the other hand, David Dvorak is on a two-fight losing streak. He lost back-to-back matches against Manuel Kape and Matheus Nicolau. His last win came against Juancamilo Ronderos whom he defeated via first-round submission back in May 2021.
UFC 289 will be a part of International Fight Week, and will take place on June 10 at a yet-to-be-announced venue.
