Another fight is now confirmed for UFC Fight Night in Seoul on February 4, 2023.
Doo Ho Choi will take on Kyle Nelson in a featherweight bout, reports John Hyon Ko.
Doo Ho Choi will return to the octagon after 3 years due to injury. He was last active in December 2019 when he lost to Charles Jourdain. He signed with UFC in 2014 and won his first 3 fights in a row. Doo Ho then faced Cub Swanson at UFC 206 in 2016 and lost the fight via unanimous decision.
However, the fight got a Fight of the Night performance bonus, a Fight of the Year award, and a Hall of Fame Induction in 2021. He has lost two more bouts in a row since then but has only fought twice in 6 years due to injuries and the COVID-19 pandemic. Do Hoo has won Performance Bonus in 5 out of his 6 fights in UFC.
Kyle Nelson is also on a two-fights losing streak. He was last active in a unanimous decision loss to Jai Herbert in July this year which was also his return to the octagon in two years.
UFC will return to Seoul, South Korea for a Fight Night event on February 4, 2023. Loma Lookboonmee vs Elisse Reed is one of the other bouts reported for the event.
