Erin Blanchfield Replaces La Rosa to Fight Maycee Barber at UFC 269

Maycee Barber has a new opponent for UFC 269 in the form of Erin Blanchfield. For the very first time, Barber will face an opponent who is younger than her. 

Maycee Barber was scheduled to face Montana De La Rosa at UFC 269. However, the latter had to pull out from this bout due to an injury. Now, Erin Blanchfield is ready to step in and replace La Rosa in order to fight Maycee Barber. 

The 22-year-old Blanchfield recently made her UFC debut against Sarah Alpar earlier this year in September. She impressed everyone by winning her very first match via unanimous decision. Currently, she is considered to be one of the most promising female fighters in the MMA.

On the other hand, Maycee Barber is only a year older than Blanchfield. She defeated Miranda Maverick in her last match in a controversial split decision. Before this match, she lost two consecutive bouts against Gillian Robertson and Roxanne Modafferi.

Now, both Maycee Barber and Erin Blanchfield must be looking forward to staying on the winning track when they face each other at UFC 269.
