UFC Fight Night 219: Benitez vs Miller, Meerschaert vs Magomedo in Work
Gabriel Benitez vs Jim Miller and Gerald Meerschaert vs Abusupiyan Magomedo bouts are said to be in work for UFC Fight Night 219 event.
The lightweight bout between Benitez and Miller is being reported comes from ESPN’s Carlos Contreras Legaspi.
After switching between featherweight and lightweight, Gabriel Benitez moved permanently to lightweight after missing weight for a featherweight bout against David Onama in February this year. In his first bout since moving to 155 lbs, he defeated Charlie Ontiveros in August this year via TKO to stop his two-fight skid.
Jim Miller also last fought in another weight division than his usual 155 lbs weight. He defeated Donald Cerrone at UFC 276 via submission. That win was his third in a row after knockout wins over Erick Gonzalez and Nikolas Motta.
Gerald Meerschaert vs Abusupiyan Magomedo middleweight bout was reported by MMA Junkie. 50 MMA fights veteran Meerschaert is coming off a win over Bruno Silva at UFC San Deigo Fight Night. Abusupiyan Magomedo returned to the cage after 2 years at UFC Paris where he defeated Dustin Stoltzfus/
