Alex Perez vs Alexandre Pantoja UFC 277

UFC 277 PPV event bagged itself a new flyweight bout. Alex Perez is all set to collide against Alexandre Pantoja on July 30 at the American Airlines Center in Dallas.

Ag. Fight reported this news first which was later confirmed by several sources. Initially, Alex Perez was scheduled to face Askar Askarov at the July 16 UFC event. However, Askarov had to withdraw from this bout due to undisclosed reasons.

As a result, UFC replaced Askarov with Alexandre Pantoja and shifted the bout to UFC 277. Pantoja is a former title challenger, and hence he will also serve as a stand-by for Kai Kara-France vs Brandon Moreno Interim Flyweight title bout at UFC 277.

Pantoja is on a two-fight winning streak and is coming off a submission victory against Brandon Royval. Before that, he defeated Manel Kape via unanimous decision.

On the other hand, Perez will return to the octagon after a long gap of one and a half years. He last competed at UFC 255 where he was submitted by Deiveson Figueiredo. This fight also snapped his three-fight winning streak.

Now, Perez will be looking forward to rebounding from this loss when he steps inside the octagon against Pantoja on July 30 at UFC 277 in Dallas.
