On the quest to become the undisputed bantamweight champion, Naoya Inoue will take on the WBO bantamweight champion Paul Butler.

The fight was a bit expected as Inoue currently holds the WBA, WBC, and IBF bantamweight belts. He only needs the WBO title to become the undisputed champion in the bantamweight division.

Inoue won the IBF and WBA titles by defeating Emmanuel Rodriguez and Nonito Donaire respectively back in 2019. He then defeated Donaire again in the rematch in just two rounds to win the WBC bantamweight title.

On the other hand, Paul Butler won the vacant WBO title by defeating Jonas Sultan. However, following the bout, his interim status was changed to the world champion.

Naoya Inoue is undefeated in professional boxing so far. On the other hand, Butler has two career losses which came against Emmanuel Rodriguez and Zolani Tete.

So, will Naoyaa Inoue continue his dominating run and finally become the undisputed champion or will Paul Butler upset him and deliver him his first career loss on December 13?
