Gesta is fresh off a win over Joel Diaz Jr. in April 2022. That bout was his first in over two years. Joseph Diaz has suffered losses in his last two bouts. A former Super Featherweight World Champion, Diaz lost to Davin Haney in December 2021 before losing to William Zepada in October last year.
The original main event for this show was Gilberto Ramirez vs Gabriel Rosado. But Ramirez was not able to make the weight as he was 7 lbs over the Light Heavyweight limit. With Gesta finding himself in another main event, will he be able to beat another Diaz?
