WWE Announces Universal Title No #1 Contender Match
WWE has announced a major fatal 5-way number #1 contender’s match for Universal Championship title match against Seth Rollins on RAW season premiere on 30 September episode.
Seth Rollins was supposed to be defending the Universal Championship against the Fiend at Hell in a Cell 2019 show. However, he will now have to defend it first on 30 September’s season premiere of Monday Night RAW. The challenger will be determined by a fatal 5-way match this week at RAW.
The participants of the match include three current champions AJ Styles(United States Champion), Shinsuke Nakamura(Intercontinental Champion), and Bobby Roode(RAW Tag Team Champion) along with Ricochet and Rey Mysterio.
Rollins will be defending his title in the same week when Brock Lesnar will challenge Kofi Kingston for the WWE Championship on Friday Night SmackDown. This would mean that both WWE Championship and WWE Universal Championship might be defended twice each in the space of 7 days between 30 September and 6 October(at Hell in a Cell PPV).
Also announced for this week’s RAW is a new Firefly Fun House segment from Bray Wyatt/the Fiend. The other matches announced for this week are as below.
