Baron Corbin Reaches King of the Ring 2019 Final

Baron Corbin has reached to the final of King of the Ring 2019 tournament as he defeated Samoa Joe and Ricochet in the triple threat match at RAW this week.

Baron Corbin has been on a shocking run at King of the Ring tournament this year. He defeated the Miz in the first round of the tournament and then Cedric Alexander in the quarterfinals to reach the semifinals. This weeks’ RAW semifinal was changed to a triple threat match when the quarterfinal between Ricochet and Samoa Joe was ended in a double pin.

The trio faced off at Madison Square Garden in another fine match. Ricochet was facing two heels in Corbin and Joe but was able to dominate the match for a large part. However, as he hit the 630 splash on Joe and went for the pin, Corbin pulled him out of the ring and got the pin over Joe himself to get the win. The other semifinal will take at SmackDown episode on Tuesday between Elias and Chad Gable.

King of the Ring 2019 tournament returned to WWE after a gap of 4 years. This is the 21st edition of the prestigious tournament which started in 1985. Former winners of the tournament include the like of Harley Race, Ted DiBiase, Bret Hart, Steve Austin, Brock Lesnar among others.

This final of this year’s tournament will take place at WWE Clash of Champions 2019 show on 15 September 2019 where Baron Corbin will face the winner of the match between Elias and Chad Gable.
