Vince McMahon Allegedly Breaks Dolph Ziggler Agreement

As per a report from Bodyslam.net, Vince McMahon has not adhered to a handshake agreement he made with Dolph Ziggler where he assured his release from WWE.

Dolph Ziggler, Dolph Ziggler WWE,

Dolph Ziggler took around 3 months of hiatus from WWE after Royal Rumble. Before making a return in late May, Ziggler focused on his stand up Comedy career. Since his return, Ziggler has jobbed to other WWE superstars like Kofi Kingston, Kevin Owens, Goldberg, The Miz, and others.

Bodyslam.net is quoting a source within WWE reporting that this past Monday was supposed to be Dolph Ziggler’s last day with the company. There was a “handshake deal” in place between Vince McMahon and Dolph Ziggler, and that Vince would release Dolph Ziggler from WWE following SummerSlam so that Ziggler could pursue his other projects.

However, as Dolph Ziggler approached Vince McMahon to thank him Monday prior to RAW, Vince told him that he could not let him out of his deal and that he would rather just pay him to stay home. And given that Vince would never want AEW to grab another one of his Superstars, it is entirely possible that WWE would choose to pay Ziggler than let him go to AEW. Especially when he was highly rumored to be signing for AEW a few months back.

In an interview with Chris Van Vliet, Ziggler mentioned that he did not sign a new deal with WWE but has a handshake agreement with them. It might have been the same agreement of his release with Vince.
