Daniel Bryan opens the show and recalls his MITB win in 2011. He says he does not know much about how this year’s MITB match will work at WWE Headquarters. He wanted his training partner Drew Gulak to be in the match but Baron Corbin ruined that opportunity. Bryan calls out Corbin.

King Baron Corbin comes out and scolds Bryan for calling him out. He threatens to hurt Bryan just like Elias and Drew Gulak and also claims that he will stand on top of the headquarters and will look down on his subjects as the King Money in the Bank. Bryan brings up Corbin’s unsuccessful cash-in a couple of years back as they continue to exchange promos.

Daniel Bryan defeated King Baron Corbin via disqualification. Corbin used a ladder to hurt Bryan late in the match and the referee called the match in Bryan’s favor. After the match, Corbin attacks Bryan with his scepter but Bryan counters and puts Corbin in the Yes lock over the ladder. Shinsuke Nakamura and Cesaro also join in the attack against Bryan. Corbin takes Bryan to the stage and throws him into a group of ladders.

WWE Universal Champion Braun Strowman comes out but is immediately interrupted by Firefly Fun House with Bray Wyatt. Wyatt retells their history with the Story of Black sheep. Black sheep is Strowman and Wyatt is the Shephard. Wyatt wants to give the story a happy ending, where the shepherd finds the black sheep, reminds him of his mistakes and takes away what makes him happy. Strowman says he’s done with this puppet stuff and If Wyatt has something to say, come to the ring to say it in his face. Wyatt starts smiling at Strowman and waves goodbye.

Sheamus defeated Leon Ruff in a short match. Ruff starts with a couple of dropkicks but Sheamus no-sells them. Sheamus manhandles him with some backbreaker and hits his signature blows to the chest on the apron, before finishing off with the Brogue kick to get the win.

The commentary team starts discussing Jeff Hardy’s mini-series. Sheamus trash talks Michael Cole and stands beside him as they air the last part of the series. Hardy talks about returning from his injury and WWE having something special for him. He will be on SmackDown next week. Sheamus is still with Cole and tells him that he will also be here when Hardy returns.

Kayla Braxton is with Otis and Mandy Rose who both are looking to win tonight’s qualifying matches and then respective Money in the Bank ladder matches. Rose says what happened with Deville did hurt her but she’s looking forward, not back. Rose gives Otis a kiss on the cheek before leaving.

Carmella defeated Mandy Rose to qualify for the Money in the Bank match. Rose took control of the match after the initial few minutes. Sonya Deville comes out and started ranting on Rose to distracts her. Rose keeps her focus on the match but Carmella finally takes the control and hits her finisher to get the win.

After the match, Deville attacks Rose. She takes Mandy out of the ring and throws her around into barricade before hitting the running knee against the steel steps.

The Forgotten Sons(Wesley Blake and Steve Cutler) defeated the New Day in a non-title match. The Miz and John Morrison were at the commentary during the match. Jakson Ryker took out Big E by sending him into the ringpost. Blake and Cutler hit their double team finisher on Kofi to get the win.

Tamina Snuka is with Kayla Braxton backstage. Bayley and Sasha Banks attack her from behind. Lacey Evans turns up to make the save.

Sonya Deville and Dolph Ziggler talk about Mandy Rose and Otis backstage. They trash talk them and run down Otis and his chances to win against Ziggler later tonight.

Otis defeated Dolph Ziggler to qualify for the Money in the Bank Ladder match. Otis started the match with some strong offense, using his power to manhandle Ziggler. Ziggler moves out of the corner to avoid a charge and takes control of the match. Otis caught a superkick at the end and dropped Ziggler before hitting the caterpillar elbow drop to get the win.
