WWE SmackDown episode of 9 July 2021 has two qualifiers for the Money in the Bank Ladder match lined up on the show. More participants are expected to be announced for the women’s MITB match. Apart from this, the storylines between Edge & Roman Reigns and Bayley & Bianca Belair are expected to continue to build-up. Let’s discuss everything in detail in this preview.

Show – WWE Friday Night SmackDown
Date – 9 July 2021
Location – Yuengling Center, Tampa, FL, US
Time – 8 PM EST(10 July 2021 12 AM GMT/5:30 AM IST)

Seth Rollins vs Cesaro

Seth Rollins and Cesaro are feuding since February this year. After Cesaro defeated Rollins at WrestleMania 37, and then at SmackDown in the #1 contender match for Universal Championship, it was believed that their feud is over.

However, Rollins pounced on Cesaro at WrestleMania Backlash after Roman Reigns battered Cesaro. They clashed once again at Hell in a Cell where Rollins was finally able to defeat Cesaro.

After failing to get a Universal title match, Rollins is required to qualify for Money in the Bank Ladder match. And for this, he needs to beat Cesaro once again. Will Cesaro and Rollins get even at 2-2? Or will Cesaro appear to be the next participant for Money in the Bank?

Shinsuke Nakamura vs Baron Corbin

Just like Rollins and Cesaro, Nakamura vs Corbin feud was also believed to be over when Nakamura won the Battle for the Crown. However, they were at opposite ends in a tag team match last week where Nakamura’s side came out victorious.

Nakamura and Corbin will face off at SmackDown for the sixth time this year with the last spot at the Men’s Money in the Bank at stake. Will Corbin tie the feud at 3-3? Or will Nakamura take a decisive lead of 4-2 to qualify for Money in the Bank?

Will Roman Reigns Return to Respond to Edge?

After Edge handed him a beating on SmackDown two weeks back, Roman decided to take his time to respond to Edge. He did not appear on last week’s show, and instead, Jimmy Uso tried to take on Edge. Edge was able to win that brawl and put Jimmy in a steel bar-assisted crossface.

Before this, Paul Heyman said that Roman decides on when he would strike on his prey. Will that moment or retaliation come sometime on tonight’s show?

Apart from this, more build-up is expected for the match between Bianca Belair and Bayley who will collide once again at Money in the Bank PPV.
