Two Money in the Bank Qualifiers Matches Added to SmackDown 7/9
WWE has announced two qualifiers for Men’s Money in the Bank Ladder match for SmackDown 9 July 2021 episode.
Kevin Owens won the second qualifier from SmackDown’s side as he defeated Sami Zayn in the Last Man Standing match on this Friday’s episode. Big E also qualified last week by defeating Intercontinental Champion Apollo Crews.
WWE now has more qualifiers for next week to fill the rest of the spots in the MITB match. Seth Rollins will take on Cesaro, while Shinsuke Nakamura will face Baron Corbin in the last qualifier.
Seth Rollins defeated Cesaro at Hell in a Cell PPV. However, Cesaro won the previous two encounters at WrestleMania 37 and later at a SmackDown episode. Rollins wanted to face Roman Reigns at Money in the Bank, but that spot went to Edge.
Shinsuke Nakamura won the King of the Ring crown from Baron Corbin by beating him in the “Battle of the Crown” two weeks back. Nakamura and Big E defeated Baron Corbin and Apollo Crews on SmackDown this week.
Ricochet, Riddle, John Morrison and Drew McIntyre have already qualified from RAW for the Men’s Money in the Bank Ladder match.
