Welcome to the live results blog for WWE RAW October 17, 2022 episode from Paycom Center in Oklahoma City, OK, where the build-up for Crown Jewel 2022 event.
WWE is advertising Brock Lesnar for the show as his storyline with Bobby Lashley continues. Seth Rollins will defend his United States title for the first time in his second title reign in a trilogy bout against Matt Riddle. Elias will return to RAW after 4 months.
Good Brothers Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows will return to WWE ring for the first time as they take on Alpha Academy. Will Judgment Day make their presence felt? The Miz will face Dexter Lumis with Lumis’ WWE career on the line. Cora Jade will arrive to RAW to search for Roxanne Perez’s opponent tomorrow night on NXT.

Live Updates
Lashley & Lesnar
Bobby Lashley is already in the ring as the show starts. He is calling out Brock Lesnar to come out and fight him. Lesnar’s music hits and he comes out as Lashley paces side to side in the ring. Lashley comes out of the ring to attack Lesnar but Lesnar slams him into the apron. Lesnar goes to send him into the ring post, but Lashley counters by slamming his face into the post. Lashley spears Lesnar through the barricade.
Several WWE stars, security and referees come out to try to take situation under control. Lashley is separated from Lesnar, but Lashley runs through them and tackles Lesnar over the announce table. He then sends Lesnar through the announce table. Security takes Lashley away to the ramp. Lesnar recovers Lashley watches from the stage surrounded by security and referees.
Good Brothers(Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson) vs Alpha Academy(Otis & Chad Gable)
Anderson starts against Gable. They trade arm wrenches. Gable gets a takedown before hitting a shoulder tackle. Anderson hits an arm drag and a clothesline. A tackle is followed by Luke Gallows tagging in. Gable escapes from the opposite corner and Otis tags in. Otis and Gallows face-off before Gallows lands rights. Otis fires back with a tackle. Otis tries to drop Anderson off the apron which gives Gallows a chance to hit him with a big boot. Anderson tags in. Gable hits shot at his back from the apron. Anderson knocks him off the apron. Otis hits a splash on Anderson from behind. Gable pulls Anderson to the floor and sends him into the ring post. We cut to a break.
Otis hits a corner splash on Anderson. He misses Vader bomb. Gallows and Gable get the tags. Gallows hits a couple of clotheslines, a right and a corner splash. He hits a clothesline on Otis. Gallows hits a pumphandle slam. Anderson tags in and Otis saves Gable from Magic Killer. Otis takes Gallows to the floor. Gable rolls up Anderson for a two-count. Gallows manages to send Otis into the steps. Anderson drops Gable and tags in Gallows to hit Magic Killer to get the pin.
Winners – Good Brothers
Judgment Day come out to the stage. Damian Priest claims that The OC did not achieve anything last week. The crowd boos him and Priest tells them that they stopped caring about their opinion long time ago. Finn Balor takes a shot at “Too Sweet” and says he is the one who started this group and can also destroy it. Balor challenges OC for a trios match at Crown Jewel.
AJ Styles accepts the challenge. However, he says why they can’t go tonight unless they have to take permission from their mother Rhea Ripley. Dominik gets offended by this and runs his mouth. AJ tells him to face him tonight. Dominik accepts the challenge bu needs time to get his ring gear on. Rhea claims Dominik will rip apart Styles. Some more trash talk from both sides before the segment ends.
Monday Night Rollins
We get a recap of how Seth Rollins goaded Bobby Lashley into title match after Lashley was injured with an attack from Brock Lesnar and ended up winning the title. Rollins makes his entrance now. Rollins welcomes us to Monday Night Rollins. He tells the doubter to kiss his beautiful behind. He tells the believers who backed him up to rise with him and sing his song. The crowd starts to sing his theme. He talks about his first title defense against Riddle tonight and claims that he will wipe Riddle’s face. He wants to clear up some miscommunication from Crown Jewel.
Rollins claims that he tapped out when Riddle had him in a triangle sleeper, but it was a strategic move since he wanted to good for his US title match two days later. Mustafa Ali comes out and congratulates Rollins for becoming the champion. He asks why Rollins did not thank Lesnar for an assist. He reminds that Lashley was about to give him a shot at the US title, so he wants a shot at Rollins also. Rollins tells him to get back in line as he has to focus on Riddle tonight. Rollins tells him either to party with him or leave the ring, because Ali does not belong in the ring with him.
Ali removes Rollins’ glasses and throws them away. Ali says he is not going away. Rollins puts him over as a good challenger and compliments him as a good human being. Rollins catches him with a barrage of punches to send him to the floor. Rollins picks up his title and is going away. Ali attacks him from behind and unloads for a while. Rollins counters and sends Ali into the ring post to close the segment.
We see JBL’s Limousine arriving into the parking lot.
Damage CTRL(Dakota Kai & Iyo Sky) vs Candice LeRae & Bianca Belair
Bayley is on the commentary for the match. Sky unloads on Candice to start the match. Candice hits a couple of arm drags before hitting a headscissors. Bianca tags in and hits a handspring splash. Iyo avoids a body slam to tag in Kai. Bianca hits Dakota with a tackle. Dakota hits her with a big right. Iyo tags in but Bianca avoids a double suplex to tag in Candice. Candice and Bianca hit stereo suplexes. Candice tackles Iyo to the floor. Bianca throws Dakota to the floor. Candice hits a moonsault to take us to a break.
Bianca hits a backbreaker on Iyo. Dakota stops Bianca from tagging out. Bianca drops Iyo off the apron. Dakota catches her braids to stop a tag out. Iyo tries to trip Candice but Candice kicks her off. Bianca tags in Candice. Candice unloads on Dakota with slaps. She also treat Iyo the same way as she takes them to the corner for a splash. Candice jumps off Dakota’s back to hit a senton on Iyo. Dakota trips Candice off the top ropes as Iyo runs a distraction. Kai hits double knees in the corner to get a two-count. Kai boots her in the corner before hitting a running boot to get a two-count.
Candice gets a two-count with an inside cradle. Candice hits an enzuigiri on Dakota and tags in Bianca. Bianca drops Iyo with a few clotheslines, a gutbuster on Dakota before hitting a back body drop on Iyo. Bianca unloads on Iyo in the corner as the crowd counts. Bianca keeps Iyo up in a suplex as Candice hits a dropkick. Dakota kicks Bianca off the apron with a big boot. She also drops Candice in the ring. Bayley takes Bianca over the announce table. Iyo and Dakota hits double team finisher to get the pin on Candice.
Winners – Damage CTRL
Cathey Kelly is backstage to interview Matt Riddle. Riddle says Rollins can make any excuse but he exposed Rollins inside the Fight Pit. Riddle seems Mustafa Ali and tells him that he will give him a title shot after he beats Rollins. Miz is screaming in pain as he has injured his knee. Miz explains how he got injured and tells them to get medical team.
Judgment Day is backstage as Dominik is getting ready. Cora Jade comes in and tells Rhea Ripley how Roxanne Perez picked Raquel Rodriguez as her opponent for tomorrow. She asks Rhea to take on Roxanne. Rhea agrees.
Mordern Wrestling God
JBL comes out to the ring. He says he is about to make an annoucement to shake the foundation of RAW, but he first wants to apologize to do it on Oklahoma. He trash talks against the state of Oklahoma and says he despises Oklahoma. He says Rey Mysterio has left RAW and Dominik has proved that Rey is a deadbeat of a father. But, that has led to the greatest trade in RAW’s history. He goes on to introduce Mr. Baron Corbin as the new member of RAW roster. Corbin makes his entrance.
JBL starts to talk about Dolph Ziggler, who is facing Corbin tonight. JBL says Ziggler is stealing money from WWE for 15 years, and could not have made it in Attitude Era. JBL says tonight starts the emergence of a modern day wrestling god, Mr. Baron Corbin.
Mr. Baron Corbin vs Dolph Ziggler
Corbin throws Ziggler to the corner and clotheslines him to the floor. Back to the ring, Ziggler hits a headbutt and a stomp. Corbin replies with a big boot off the ropes. Corbin works on Ziggler in the corner. Ziggler hits back with some punches but Corbin runs him over with a back elbow. Corbin misses in the corner. Ziggler unloads with punches. He avoids a back body drop and hits a DDT to get a two-count. JBL puts over Corbin on the commentary as Ziggler unloads in the corner. Corbin hits an inverted vertical suplex. Corbin hits a big clothesline. Corbin sends Ziggler into the steel steps to take us to a break.
Corbin is unloading on Ziggler as we return. Ziggler hits some punches. He avoids Corbin’s charge to send him to the apron to unload some more. Back to the ring, Ziggler fires more punches before hitting a DDT and an elbow drop for a two-count. Corbin picks him up to hit a fallaway slam to get a two-count. Ziggler avoids End of Days and hits Fameosser to get a two-count. They trade punches. Ziggler hits a headbutt. Corbin avoids Zig-zag and hits Deep six to get a near fall. Ziggler avoids a chokeslam, hits a dropkick and Zig-zag to get a near fall. Corbin blocks a superkick and hits End of Days to get the pin.
Winner – Mr. Baron Corbin
Miz is in medical room and screams at the trainer to not touch his knee. Byron Saxton comes in and asks him about the accident. He tells Miz how footage has caught that Miz himself poured water on the floor and sat down faking an injury. Miz gets angry at Saxton for accusing him. Someone shouts that Dexter Lumis is here. Miz suddenly jumps to his feet. It was Johnny Gargano who shouted Lumis’ name. Byron Saxton says Miz vs Lumis is on.
MVP is backstage with Omos. MVP announces Omos is going to Smackdown this week to take on Braun Strowman.
We get a recap of Bray Wyatt’s return on SmackDown on Friday, his emotional promo and White Rabbit’s message.
Cameron Grimes is backstage and catches up with The OC. He tells The OC that he needs tag team partners tomorrow night to face Schism.
AJ Styles vs Dominik Mysterio
AJ starts a big chop on Dominik to drop him. AJ continues to batter him with different strikes. He hits a couple of backbreakers next. Dominik hits a kick to counter a back body drop. Styles drops him with a big kick. AJ unloads on Dominik from the second rope. Dominik escapes to the floor. AJ brings him back.
Rhea distracts AJ with some trash talk. Dominik hits AJ with a crossbody dive to take advantage. Dominik unloads on AJ in the ring now. He works on AJ against the ropes before hitting more stomps in the corner. He hits a springboard senton next. AJ fires back with a flurry of strikes. Dominik goes to the floor and AJ hits him with a jumping forearm. AJ throws him into the timekeeper’s area to take us to a break.
AJ is in control as we return. AJ slams Dominik’s face into the turnbuckle. AJ goes to the top. Judgment Day distract the referee and Rhea trips AJ off the top. Dominik stomps on AJ for a while. He whips AJ to the corner before hitting a clothesline. Dominik hits more stomps before hitting three amigos. AJ comes back with a big boot in the corner. He hits a series of clothesline and a sliding forearm before hitting a pumphandle gutbuster. Dominik fire back with a kick and hits a tornado DDT. He sets up 619 but AJ ducks it.
AJ puts on the calf crusher but Dominik catches the ropes quickly. Dominik rolls to the floor. Judgment Day and The OC come face to face on the floor. AJ nails Dominik with a forearm and takes him back to the ring. Rhea catches AJ’s foot from the floor. Dominik rolls up AJ and holds onto the trunks to get the pin.
Winner – Dominik Mysterio
AJ & Good Brothers could only watch from the ring as The Judgment Day celebrate Dominik’s big win.
Johnny Gargano tells The Miz that he should tell everyone the truth if he wants to avoid facing Dexter Lumis in the ring. Miz says Lumis will be gone after he wins tonight. He also warns Gargano that they have a score to settle after this. Gargano warns him again for Lumis.
Dexter Lumis comes out to the stage. The Miz comes from behind and hits Lumis with a steel chair again and again. Miz hits the Skull Crushing Finale on the chair and leaves Lumis laid out.
Damage CTRL trio are interviewed by Byron Saxton backstage . Bayley says they are tired of people asking what is next. They talk about how they got rid of Alexa Bliss & Asuka and they will not let Bianca Belair off easily. They will show who is in control next week.
The Miz and Johnny Gargano are backstage once again. Gargano tells Miz that it was a bad move because it won’t stop Lumis. Miz asks him why he is wearing a whistle. Gargano replies that he will blow it at him if he does not come clean on Lumis. Miz leaves.
Elias is Back! And so are Interruptions!
Elias is in the ring and he tells us that his younger brother’s career was cut short. But, there is a saying in his family that the show must go on. He is very emotional tonight as he wants to play something special tonight. Matt Riddle’s music hits as he interrupts Elias. Riddle comes out with bongo. Riddle gives props to Elias and tells him how he used to get zeeked up around Ezekiel. Riddle gets “Walk with Elias” chants going. Elias appreciates him and tells him to be in the front row to watch his performance. Riddle asks him if they can play together one day. Elias promises him that it will happen one day. Riddle sits down in the ring as Elias starts playing on his keyboard. He gets interrupted again as Seth Rollins’ music hits. We cut to a break.
Seth Rollins(c) vs Matt Riddle – WWE United States Championship
Riddle puts on the arm triangle right after the opening bell. Rollins gets to the ropes to break it. Rollins goes to the floor for a breather. Elias is at ringside for the match. Rollins returns to the ring and Riddle nails him with bodykicks. He hits more kicks after taking Rollins to the corner. Rollins goes to the floor again and Riddle htis him with dive. Back to the ring, Riddle hits a gutwrench suplex.
Rollins comes back with a knee to midsection. Rollins whips him to the corner and unloads. Riddle replies to his punches with forearms. Rollins hits a knee again before hitting Riddle with a suplex. Riddle knocks Rollins off the apron with a kick. Riddle goes for a senton but he stops when Rollins moves away. Rollins argue with Elias on the floor. Elias nails him with a jumping knee as the referee was looking away. We cut to a break.
Rollins is in control as we return. Rollins hits a big knee to his face. Riddle starts to fight back. Riddle unloads in the corner and hits an exploder suplex. Rollins gets his knees up on a senton. Riddle hits a senton from the top after hitting Rollins with a back elbow. Rollins counters with an attempt for Pedigree but Riddle blocks it. Rollins nails a rolling elbow. Riddle replies with a ripcord knee. Riddle hits Bro-Derek to get a near fall. Riddle goes to the top. Rollins hits him from behind. Rollins hits an inverted superplex and an inverted Falcon Arrow. Riddle kicks out of the pin.
Riddle counters frog splash with arm triangle. Rollins powers up for one-handed powerbomb. Riddle still holds onto the lock. Rollins hits a buckle bomb and a sit-out powerbomb but Riddle puts the lock on again. Rollins somehow gets his legs on the ropes. Rollins rolls to the floor. He tells Elias to hit him. Elias does not follow. Rollins hits Elias with a superkick. Riddle hits him with a moonsault on the floor. He hits a powerslam in the ring as he starts to emulate Randy Orton. He hits follows up with a draping DDT. Rollins blocks RKO and sends Riddle into Elias as he entered the ring. Rollins hits a stomp on Riddle to get the pin.
Winner – Seth Rollins
Rollins hits Elias with a stomp after his win. Rollins gets his title and celebrates his win. Rollins sets up Riddle for a stomp on title belt but Mustafa Ali runs out. Ali tackles Rollins before sending him to the floor with a spinning heel kick. Ali hits a suicide dive and clotheslines Rollins into the crowd. Rollins gets his title and gets deeper into the crowd. Ali shouts at him from the barricade. Rollins shows off his title.
