According to the latest reports, WWE Hall of Famer John Bradshaw Layfield is set to appear on several upcoming WWE tapings.

PWInsider reported that JBL would appear in the next few episodes of WWE Raw in some capacity. However, the exact reason behind JBL’s return is still unknown.

JBL’s voice was heard on the September 2 episode of SmackDown when he invited Happy Corbin into his limousine. Corbin hasn’t appeared on WWE TV since then.

It is rumored that JBL would work along with the repackaged Corbin. There is a possibility that Corbin would return with his “Lone Wolf” gimmick.

JBL made his debut back in 1992. He was at his peak in 2004 when he won the WWE Championship for the first time by defeating the late Eddie Guerrero.

JBL retired from in-ring competition back in 2009 after losing the IC title to Rey Mysterio in just 21 seconds. After that, he started working as a commentator and analyst at WWE programming.

Now, it remains to be seen which role JBL will fill on the upcoming episodes of WWE Raw.
