Welcome to the live results blog for WWE NXT March 14, 2023 episode with just 19 days to go from NXT Stand & Deliver 2023 event.

Apollo Crews will take on Daba Kato in a singles match to continue their rivalry. Wes Lee has called out for another open challenge for NXT North American Championship. We will also hear from Johnny Gargano as he returns to NXT to face Grayson Waller.

The build-up for NXT Stand & Deliver will also continue. Bron Breakker vs Carmelo Hayes is now finalized for the show and both men were quite respectful last week during their promo. Will that situation continue?

We might get an update on Roxanne Perez’s condition after she collapsed last week following her successful title defense against Meiko Satomura. Expect much more action and we will post results from WWE NXT March 14, 2023 episode with live updates, winners and highlights.

RESULTS

  • Gallus(Wolfgang & Mark Coffey)(c) defeated Pretty Deadly(Kit Wilson & Elton Prince) in a tag team match via pinfall to retain NXT Tag Team Championship.
  • Zoey Stark defeated Sol Ruca in Women’s Championship Qualifier via pinfall.
  • Isla Dawn & Alba Fyre defeated Diamond Mine(Ivy Nile & Tatum Paxley) and Katana Chance & Kayden Carter in a tag team match to become #1 contenders for NXT Women’s Tag Team Championship.
  • Daba Kato defeated Apollo Crews in a singles match via pinfall.
  • Gigi Dolin defeated Kiana James in Women’s Championship Qualifier via pinfall.

LIVE UPDATES

Gargano’s Home!

Johnny Gargano opens the show. “Welcome Home” chant from the crowd. He says there is a lots of talk about his story with Waller. Fifteen months ago his story ended on a cliffhanger. When he returned on RAW, it felt like a piece of him was missing. Gargano talks about Waller standing tall over him December 2021 and he hates to say it but he kind of respects it. Gargano says the last guy who took him out was Tommaso Ciampa, who became one of the greatest NXT Champions of all time.

Gargano asks what Waller has done since taking Johnny out. He had two chances and he failed. After that, he whined and blamed everyone but himself. Gargano says whereever he goes, NXT will always be his home, and you don’t disrespect a his home. Vic Joseph gets up from commentary with his phone and shows Gargano that Grayson is streaming live on Instagram from Gargano’s house, and Johnny runs off to intercept him.


Wes Lee gets out of his car in the parking lot. Axiom rolls up beside him and says he is not leaving his side until the open challenge goes off. They go off to grab something to eat.

Gallus(Wolfgang & Mark Coffey)(c) vs Pretty Deadly(Kit Wilson & Elton Prince) – NXT Tag Team Champions

Prince and Coffey start the match. Coffey pushes Prince to the ropes. Wilson takes a punch on the break. Coffey hits a shoulder tackle and an arm drag. Prince hits a knee to midsection. Wilson tags in and gets Coffey in an inside cradle for a two-count. Wolfgang tags in and tackles Wilson in the corner. Prince saves Wilson from a corner splash but Wilson fails to take advantage. Gallus double-team on Wilson to send him to the floor. They do the same to Prince. We cut to a break.

Pretty Deadly are in control as we return. They keep control over Coffey for a while. Coffey finally fights back off the double team and tags in Wolfgang. He tackles Wilson to the floor before a corner splash on Prince. He kicks Wilson off the apron with a big boot before hitting a slam and splash on Prince. Gallus drops Prince with a double-team spinebuster but Wilson breaks the pin. Pretty Deadly work together to send Wolfgang over the announce table.

Pretty Deadly pick up the tag titles. Prince gets into the ring with the title. The referee stops him from using it. Wilson runs over Coffey with the title behind the referee’s back. Coffey kicks out of the pin. Pretty Deadly go for double team but Wolfgang pulls Prince out. Gallus drop Wilson with double team to get the pinfall.

Winner – Gallus

Fallon Henley and Josh Briggs break into Kiana James’ office to find out dirt on her. They find a contract for Women’s Championship Qualifier matches for NXT Stand and Deliver for James. Briggs finds James’ diary where they find a note from Sebastian indicating that he and James spent the night together.


We get a tweet announcement from Shawn Michaels saying that Roxanne Perez was discharged from hospital but she is not cleared to compete at Stand & Deliver. Michaels announces a ladder match to crown the new champion. The participants will be identified via qualifier matches.

Sol Ruca vs Zoey Stark – Women’s Championship Qualifier

Stark pushes Ruca to the ropes. Ruca pushes her back and hits chops before a back body drop. Stark rolls out for a breather before getting back in to hit a knee to midsection. Ruca hits double knees to get a two-count. She hits a clothesline before Stark rolls to the floor again. Ruca follows her and runs into a superkick from Stark. Stark takes control and unloads with several blows. She slams Ruca’s face to the mat to get a two-count.

Stark puts on a chin lock and keeps Ruca on the mat for a while. Ruca starts to build momentum with some kicks. She hits a step-up enzuigiri and a handspring splash to get a two-count. Ruca clotheslines Stark to the floor ands hits her with a moonsault. Stark counters a springboard move in the ring and hits her finisher to get the pinfall.

Winner – Zoey Stark

We get a promo from Scrypts where he says he is after one masked man.

Isla Dawn & Alba Fyre vs Diamond Mine(Ivy Nile & Tatum Paxley) vs Katana Chance & Kayden Carter

Paxley, Dawn and Chance start the match. Dawn and Paxley double team on Chance to drop her. Paxley rolls up Dawn before Chance attacks her. Chance throws Dawn out of the ring before hitting a springboard move on Paxley. Carter tags in and gets both opponents into pin attempts. Back and forth action continues. Paxley brings in Nile to hit a double suplex on Dawn.

Nile overpowers everyone coming into the ring. Fyre catches her with a superkick. Nile fights off after Dawn tags in. Nile tries to tag out but Paxley pulls put of her corner and tells Nile that they were never a team. Fyre and Dawn double team to send Chance and Carter to the floor. Paxley attacks Nile on the floor and drops her. Paxley throws Nile back into the ring where Dawn and Fyre double team to get the pinfall.

Winner – Isla Dawn & Alba Fyre

NXT Champion Bron Breakker is backstage when Tony D’Angelo and Stacks come to him. They offer taking Carmelo Hayes out before his contract signing segment. Breakker tries some humor but says he does not need Hayes taken out.

Dragunov & McDonagh

Ilja Dragunov makes his entrance. Dragunov says WWE has been life changing for his family as they had opportunites they never felt happening. But with every success, there has been JD McDonagh cutting him leg under him. Now, he has no choice but to get rid of JD McDonagh once and for all to keep his autonomy. JD McDonagh comes out and says they are two sides of same coin and very mucn alike. Dragunov says McDonagh’s obsession with him will prove to his downfall.

McDonagh says Dragunov drove him out of UK, followed him here and put himself in his chance at NXT Championship, leading to both of them failing to win the title. McDonagh says they both suffer every time Dragunov draws them together. Dragunov replies that their friendship was suffering because of something he posses- pain. Pain makes him feel alive and makes a difference in his life and he chooses that life.

McDonagh says Dragunov is wrong about pain driving him, but that is also the reason why Dragunov is standing there with no title around his waist. Dragunov is after McDonagh because he wants to suffer and McDonagh can never run out of ideas to five Dragunov more pain. McDonagh gets into the ring now and challenges Dragunov for a match next week. He tries to hit a headbutt but Dragunov avoids it. A brawl starts anyway and they brawl to the back.


Pretty Deadly are interviewed backstage and McKenzie tell them that they are not in contention for tag team title match at Stand & Deliver. They say no match can contain this amount of star power. They are going Hollywood.


Tyler Bate is training Thea Hail with more meditation techniques. Andre Chase comes in and asks for a moment alone with Duke Hudson. Duke says he is still not over Chase U’s win-loss record. Chase tells him that it is so much more than what the record book says. Chase U is more about feeling, and place where students could come to learn and grow and prepare for their future. Chase says Duke was happy just skating by before getting into Chase U, but now he cares and lives by every win and loss. Chase says Chase U has done more for Duke than anything in his entire life. Chase leaves. Ava Raine comes in, puts Schism mask beside Duke and goes away.


We see Grayson Waller’s video that he posted on Twitter from outside Johnny Gargano’s house. He wonders if Gargano has left the door unlock and goes to check it.


A fight is ongoing backstage where everyone is trying to stop others from answering Wes Lee’s open challenge.

Wes Lee makes his entrance. The brawl reaches the stage. Axiom clears out of the mele and gets into the ring. Scypts hits him with a senton. JD McDonagh gets into the ring and attacks Wes Lee. Dragunov comes in and takes McDonagh away. Lee gets angry and hits a suicide dive to take down everyone on the floor. The brawling continues for a while.


We cut to backstage with Dragon Lee. Lee says he has been around the world but being in NXT is exciting and fans can expect so much as he wants to show lucha libre style.


We get promos from Apollo Crews and Daba Kato. Kato says he has waited for 8 months to get his hands on Crews.


Jacy Jayne is backstage for an interview and has her hand in a sling. Jacy says Gigi broke her shoulder one minute into the match because she could not handle her at 100%. Jacy says if Gigi wants to consider that a victory, then she is even more pathetic. She promises to break her face and her heart once again.

Apollo Crews vs Daba Kato

Crews hits Kato with a dive at the ringside before he could get into the ring. Crews lands big shots on the floor. He drives Kato into the ring post. Kato hits him with a chest slap and throws him into the ring. The bell rings and Crews tackles him to the floor again. Crews hits ax handles to his back. Crews tackles him to the barricade. Kato whips him into the barricade before pushing him into the steel steps. Kato misses a knee strike into the steel steps. Crews takes him back into the ring now. Kato hits a big shot to midsection. He hits a big boot into the mat as we cut to a break.

Kato has Crews in a back rack. Crews hits a kick to his face. Kato hits him with a back rack again. He nails a big elbow to Crews’ back. Crews starts to duck and counter with his punches. Kato refuses to go down and stands his ground. He hits a knee strike and a big blow to the back. Kato hits a leg drop next. He works on Crews in the corner now. Crews hits an enzuigiri from the apron before dropping his face on the ropes.

Crews hits pump kicks before a corner splash. Crews hits an Olympic slam next. Crews hits a frog splash to get a two-count. Kato moves to the floor. Crews follows him but Kato hits him with a double handed chokeslam on the steel steps. Kato gets back into the ring and the referee stars a countdown. Crews beats the countdown but Kato hits double handed chokeslam/sitdown powerbomb to get the pinfall.

Winner – Daba Kato

NXT Anonymous posted a video of a discussion between Wes Lee and Shawn Michaels backstage. Michaels tells Lee to stop challenges. Lee says he wants to keep proving himself, and at Stand & Deliver, he wants 10 of the best from NXT. Michaels meets him on a middle ground and tells him that it will be a fatal 5-way at Stand & Deliver. Lee gets to choose the opponents.

Kiana James and Brooks Jensen are backstage. James is trying to reach to Fallon Henley to be in her corner in her match tonight. Jensen offers her services but James says she needs to alone for the match.

Kiana James vs Gigi Dolin

They start with arm wringers. Gigi gets James into a backslide to get a two-count. Gigi misses a running kick. They counter each other before Gigi hits a running kick. James takes big shots at Gigi in the corner before hitting a neckbreaker. James puts on a chin lock. Gigi gets to the ropes to break it. She starts to build momentum with some kicks before hitting an enzuigiri and a Russian Leg Sweep. James rolls her up for a two-count. Gigi hits Backslide bomb finisher to get the pinfall.

Winner – Gigi Dolin

After the match, Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn attack James. Jensen runs out to force them off her.


Johnny Gargano reaches his home. Grayson Waller attacks him after running from the dark. Waller sends some dirt in his eyes and kicks him from behind. Gargano kicks at the dustbin that Waller was trying to use. They continue to brawl outside. Gargano tells Candice to lock the door. He stops Waller from getting into the house. Waller slams him into the wall and hits him with a shovel. He breaks the shovel stick on Gargano’s back. Candice screams at him to stop as she has her hands in her arms. Waller talks trash for a while before leaving.


Kiana James is complaining to Brooks Jensen when Fallon Henley and Josh Briggs walk in. Jensen tells them about Fyre and Dawn jumping on James. Henley complains about not knowing about the qualifier and James replies that she was not passing up an opportunity at NXT Women’s Championship. Henley is then informed about their tag team title defense at Stand & Deliver.

NXT Championship Contract Signing

Carmelo Hayes makes his entrance with Trick Williams. Bron Breakker comes in. Breakker says he does not want to talk much and they should sign the contract quickly. Hayes agrees and says the countdown would be faster for the new champion. Pretty Deadly come out and say as the host of Stand & Deliver, they should also host this contract signing.

Hayes tells Breakker that he means no disrespect with his comment as Breakker has held the title for so long. But, he will take that championship way further than Breakker ever could just like he did to North American Championship. Breakker says North American title was “A” championship in just his head. Breakker says he wants to face the best version of Carmelo Hayes, who beat Ricochet and was the champion for so long.

Pretty Deadly start to put in their comments. Hayes tells them to stop. Hayes tells Breakker that he does not want Breakker who has anger management issues or Tux wearing man, he wants the best version of Breakker as he wants to show that even that Breakker would not be good enough. Their argument continues for a while before Hayes signs the contract. Breakker also signs it. They stand up from the table and shake hands. They start to leave when Pretty Deadly tell them that people need some drama. Breakker and Hayes remove their jackets and drop Pretty Deadly through the table. They face off in the ring to close the show.
