Wardlow vs Samoa Joe Set for AEW Dynamite New Year’s Smash
A TNT title match has been officially announced for the December 28 edition of AEW Dynamite New Year’s Smash.
On the December 16 episode of AEW Rampage, it was made official that Samoa Joe would defend his TNT title against Wardlow on the New Year special edition of Dynamite on December 28.
Wardlow quickly defeated Exodus Prime on Rampage, and after the match, he called out his former tag-team partner Samoa Joe.
The current ROH World TV & AEW TNT Champion cut a promo from backstage where he stated that he would not put his title on the line on December 21 or 23 episodes of Dynamite and Rampage, respectively.
However, Joe agreed to defend his title on December 28 against Wardlow in a singles match. Samoa Joe defeated Wardlow and Powerhouse Hobbs in a triple-threat match at Full Gear 2022 to win the TNT title.
So, will Wardlow be able to regain his TNT title before the year ends?
