WWE has announced that Zack Ryder and Curt Hawkins will be challenging the WWE RAW Tag Team Champions the Viking Raiders for the title. The match is set for next week’s Monday Night RAW episode on 18 November 2019.
Zack Ryder and Curt Hawkins are former RAW Tag Team Champions themselves with their last title win coming at WrestleMania 35 this year. With that win, Curt Hawkins scrapped his losing streak of over 200 matches. Ryder and Hawkins lost the title to the Revival on the RAW episode of 10 June 2019. WWE has revealed that they are getting the title shot after defeating the OC and the Street Profits at a house show on the European tour.
The Viking Raiders were promoted to the main roster after WrestleMania 35 this year. After building some momentum with some wins, the Viking Raiders became the RAW Tag Team Champions after defeating Robert Roode and Dolph Ziggler at the 14 October 2019 edition of RAW.
Next week’s RAW(18 November 2019) will air from TD Garden Arena in Boston. It will be the go-home RAW episode for WWE Survivor Series 2019. If Ryder and Hawkins are able to defeat the Viking Raiders, they will represent RAW in the Interbrand Tag Team non-title match at Survivor Series.
