A current AEW superstar, Stokely Hathaway has hinted that the former AEW World Champion CM Punk is no longer a part of AEW.

Stokely Hathaway recently appeared on Renee Paquette’s podcast titled “The Sessions,” where the manager of the Firm shed some light on CM Punk’s status

Hathaway stated that everything that was planned for the Firm didn’t take place because of what happened backstage after AEW All Out

He added that the person they were supposed to feud with is no longer a part of AEW. Stokely stated that he was looking forward to this role as he was hand-chosen to do this. He revealed that CM Punk stated that he wants to work with this guy, and it means a lot to him regardless of what happened.

Some reports indicated that Tony Khan would buy CM Punk out of his contract. However, the negotiation for the same was stalled as they were not able to get on the same page regarding the non-compete clause.

CM Punk along with Ace Steel got involved in a backstage altercation with the Elite. Following this, Steel was fired and The Elite was suspended. The latter made their return at Full Gear whereas the official status of CM Punk is still unknown.
