WWE Announces Steve Austin Series: The Broken Skull Sessions, Undertaker to be the First Guest
WWE has announced the new WWE Network series “‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin: The Broken Skull Sessions”, to be premiered on 24 November 2019 just after the Survivor Series with the Undertaker as the first guest.
Twitter handle Wrestle Votes first broke the news yesterday that a new series with Steve Austin is set to debut on the WWE network. Steve Austin also tweeted that a big announcement is on the way. Though, the official news came from Variety which reported that the series premiere will air after Survivor Series.
The Undertaker will be the first guest for Stone Cold. Variety also included the comments from Steve Austin who said that the interview will be with the man behind the gimmick Mark Calaway, and not with the character the Undertaker.
Variety also reports that the future episodes of The Broken Skull Sessions will feature one-on-one conversations with other big names from WWE, both past and present, as well as other celebrity guests. But no names were confirmed for now. Austin told Variety that this interview series will be different than the live version of his WWE Network podcast that aired earlier.
Interestingly, this new show is not being referred to as a podcast, but an interview series. This is the fourth new show from WWE in the last month or so. WWE’s the Bump, a Youtube series, started on 2nd October. After the Bell, an audio podcast series hosted by Corey Graves, started on 30 October 2019. Also, WWE Backstage, a studio show from Fox hosted by Renee Young and Booker T, premiered on 5 November 2019.
