Roman Sends Message as Edge Appears on SmackDown

Roman Reigns has probably just confirmed the WrestleMania 37 main event match as he speared Edge to close this week’s SmackDown.

WWE Hall of Famer and Royal Rumble 2021 Winner Edge opened SmackDown last night. He mentioned that he has kept his options open till Elimination Chamber PPV. He also said he is evaluating his options and any of the 13 competitors involved in the World title scene on Sunday could be his WrestleMania opponent.

WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns came out and once again tried to intimidate Edge into choosing him for WrestleMania. After an interrupting Sami Zayn was taken care of, Reign whispered something in Edge’s ear which was not audible on the TV screens.

Later in the show, Edge was seen with various wrestlers who will be part of the Universal Championship #1 contender Elimination Chamber match- Cesaro, King Corbin, Daniel Bryan and Kevin Owens – to tease possible matches.

The main event of the show saw Daniel Bryan, Kevin Owens and Cesaro defeated Jey Uso, Sami Zayn and King Corbin. After the match, a brawl broke out which saw signature moves being hit on each other. Edge also hit the ring and speared Jey Uso. This was followed by Roman Reigns spearing Edge and closing the show standing tall over him.
