ROH World Championship will be defended on an AEW PPV for the first time at AEW Full Gear 2022 event.
A fatal 4-way match involved Jericho Appreciation Society’s Chris Jericho & Sammy Guevara and Blackpool Combat Club’s Bryan Danielson & Claudio Castagnoli is announced by AEW for Full Gear.
Chris Jericho won the ROH World Championship from Claudio Castagnoli at AEW Dynamite Grand Slam on September 21 defeating Claudio Castagnoli. He has been on a mission since then to besmirch ROH’s name, its former champions, and other personnel. He has defended the title against former ROH Champions like Bryan Danielson, Dalton Castle and Colt Cabana.
This week on Rampage, Claudio Castagnoli took offense to Jericho’s behavior and asked for a rematch he never got after losing the title. Claudio referred to Jericho facing former ROH Champions and claimed his shot at the title being another former ROH Champion.
Bryan Danielson also threw his hat in the ring saying that he wanted to beat Jericho for ROH’s honor, prestige and respect. William Regal then left it to Jericho to decide who he would want to face next.
Jericho gave his answer later in the show and said he would face both members from BCC. But, he added that he would also like two members for JAS to be in the match. So, Sammy Guevara was added to the match to make it a fatal 4-way. AEW later confirmed the ROH World Championship match to take place at Full Gear.
AEW Full Gear 2022 PPV will take place on November 19 at Prudential Center in Newark, NJ.
