NXT Results- 24 April 2019: Gargano vs Strong

Here are the NXT results from 24 April 2019 episode. Spoilers for next week’s episode are available here.

• Humberto Carrillo defeated Jaxson Ryker via disqualification. Ryker dominated but gets disqualified when he kept striking Carrillo between his knees and the barricade.
• Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch came to rescue but Steve Cutler and Wesley Blake also came into the fray. Lorcan and Burch grabbed chairs to force the opponents to fall back.
• Adam Cole was getting his photos done backstage while dissing Johnny Gargano. Matt Riddle was laughing listening to him.
• Candice LeRae and Kacy Catanzaro defeated Aliyah and Vanessa Borne. LeRae and Kacy started strong but Kacy was then dominated for some time. She hit the double neckbreaker and tagged in LeRae who cleared the ring and hit a step-up senton to win the match.

• Io Shirai was attacked backstage by Shayna Baszler, Jessamyn Duke and Marina Shafir.
• The War Raiders beat the Street Profits. The Tag Team Champs dominated mostly and the finish came after a Thor’s Hammer on Ford.

• Mia Yim claimed that she can take the NXT Women’s championship by beating Shayna Baszler.
• Johnny Gargano defeated Rodrick Strong. After a good back and forth match, the champ had Strong in the Garga-No Escape when the Undisputed Era interrupted. Matt Riddle makes the save on Gargano. Cole’s superkick hit Strong and Gargano hit the slingshot DDT to get the pin.
• More argument between Cole and Strong post-match after Gargano and Riddle left.
