Bobby Lashley Legitimately Injured, Out of WWE WrestleMania 38
WWE Star Bobby Lashley has been carrying an injury for some time.
Lashley defended the WWE Championship inside the Chamber at the Elimination Chamber event in Saudi Arabia last night. However, he was taken out mid-match due to concussion protocol.
Seth Rollins slammed Austin Theory through the Chamber pod in which Lashley was standing. The pod breaking caught Lashley and he crashed into the ring post behind him. He was helped to the back by the WWE crew before the commentary team announced that Lashley could not continue in the match as per concussion protocol. Brock Lesnar eliminated all other participants in the match to win the WWE title.
Reports came out that this was a storyline angle to avoid Lashley getting involved in the match and save him from getting pinned in the match. Those reports were only partly true.
Former WWE Writer Kazeem Famuyide reported that Lashley could be dealing with a shoulder injury. This was mentioned on The Ringer Wrestling Show where it was also said that the injury actually took place during Lashley’s match against Brock Lesnar at Royal Rumble 2022.
Famuyide claimed that he has good authority on the subject and is confident to say that Lashley is actually hurt. He also argued that Lashley has not worked any matches on RAW in the past three weeks since Royal Rumble. Lashley is expected to undergo surgery and will likely be out of action for around 4 months, taking him out of contention of WrestleMania 38.
