WWE Might Pause Sasha Banks & Naomi’s Contracts

According to the reports, WWE has an option to freeze both Naomi and Sasha Banks’s contracts for the time frame they are suspended from the promotion. 

On the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that WWE has an option to pause the contract due to its wordings. 

Sasha Banks and Naomi are suspended because they walked out of last week’s Raw. As a result, WWE can freeze their contract, and that means Sasha Banks and Naomi have to wait for a little extra for their contract to expire. 

Both Naomi and Sasha Banks’s contracts are set to expire soon. However, Naomi was working on a contract extension before last week’s incident. 

At present, it is currently unknown whether WWE will pause the contract of the former tag-team champions or not. But, it is likely that they are not returning to WWE TV anytime soon. 

On the latest episode of WWE SmackDown, Michael Cole officially announced that Sasha Banks and Naomi are suspended indefinitely and are stripped of the women’s tag-team titles. Now, a tournament will be held to crown the new champs.
