Keith Lee Debuts at AEW, Qualifies for Face of Revolution Ladder Match

Keith Lee AEW Debut

Keith Lee has signed with All Elite Wrestling and made his debut on the February 9 episode of AEW Dynamite.

AEW President Tony Khan announced last week that a new signing will make his debut this week on Dynamite and will face Isiah Kassidy in the qualifier for the Face of Revolution ladder match. It was a heated topic of discussion among the online wrestling fans with speculations from Jeff Hardy, Samoa Joe, many NJPW stars, and Keith Lee to be debuting for AEW.

At last, it indeed turned out to be Keith Lee who made his way out to face Isiah Kassidy. Lee made a short work of his opponent, despite some fighting back from Kassidy, and ended the match with Ground Zero to get the pin. This was followed by a post-match attack from Private Party, but Lee easily dealt with them.

Keith Lee was one of the names to be released from WWE in November last year. After starting 2021 with a WWE Championship match against Drew McIntyre, Lee got sidelined for a long time due to COVID-19 and later due to inflammatory heart condition. He made a return to WWE RAW in July, losing to Bobby Lashley. Soon, he started to work with a changed gimmick of Bearcat Lee, but all of that could not prevent his release from WWE.

Former NXT Champion has his 90 days non-compete clause expire last week. Lee also got married to his long-time girlfriend and former WWE wrestler Mia Yim last weekend.

Keith Lee is now set to AEW PPV debut at Revolution 2022 in the Face of the Revolution ladder match. More participants in that match are yet to be announced. Keep tuned in for more news and updates from AEW.
