Both Johnny Gargano and Kyle O’Reilly are expected to leave WWE after this week.

Johnny Gargano’s contract reportedly expired earlier and he signed an extension to work WarGames match at NXT WarGames 2021 PPV. Kyle O’Reilly also had his contract coming to an end later this week as reported by PWInsider.

Both Gargano and O’Reilly were on the card for NXT WarGames 2021. Gargano was part of the men’s WarGames match where he was part of Team Old School/Black and Gold with Tomasso Ciampa, LA Knight and Pete Dunne. KOR teamed up with Von Wagner for an unsuccessful attempt to win NXT Tag Team titles from Imperium.

In an update, Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful.com has reported that WWE is in discussion with both stars to sign a new contract and come to SmackDown. However, WWE officials expect them to leave the company after the contract ends.

Kyle O’Reilly will be in action at NXT’s December 7 episode as he will face former tag team partner Von Wagner in a steel cage match. After they lost the match to Imperium, Wagner tried to attack his tag team partner, but KOR was quick to thwart that attack and bring down Wagner.

Gargano is announced for NXT, but there is much activity to hint that Gargano will leave WWE, or atleast NXT, now. NXT Champion Tomasso Ciampa shared a montage of their best moments from NXT. Gargano himself has tweeted a thank you post.

Keep tuned in for news and updates from WWE.
