IWGP World Tag Team Champions FTR are set to debut in NJPW at Battle Autumn event on November 5, 2022. And finally, their opponents might have been revealed.

FTR announced an open challenge for IWGP tag titles for November 5 event, which will be the final night of Battle Autumn event series. This match is going to be the Japan debut for the tag team champions.

United Empire’s Great-O-Khan and Jeff Cobb defeated Ryohei Oiwa and Yuto Nakashima in 3 minutes 33 seconds to get a dominant victory. After the match, the team answered FTR’s challenge(video below), calling them out on not facing United Empire in a straight-up tag team match.

United Empire duo were part of the three-way tag team match at Forbideen Door PPV where FTR won the titles. FTR pinned Rocky Romero and Trent Baretta in that match to win the titles. They have only defended IWGP titles once when they defeated Aussie Open, another team from United Empire at NJPW Royal Quest II in London, UK.

The final night of Battle Autumn event series has a stacked match card. Will Ospreay is scheduled to defend his IWGP US Heavyweight Championship against Tetsuya Naito. TJP and Francesco Akira will defend their Jr. Heavyweight Tag Team titles against BUSHI and Titan. Karl Anderson is announced to defend NEVER Openweight title against Hikuleo, but he is booked for Crown Jewel also on the same date.

Keep tuned in for more news and updates from NJPW.
