AEW Forbidden Door: FTR Becomes Double Champion Despite Injury
AEW’s Cash Wheeler & Dax Harwood (FTR) created history by becoming the ROH & IWGP tag-team champion at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door.
Dax Harwood got injured early in the match, and it seems to be over for FTR. However, Dax returned later in the match with his shoulder tapped to help his tag partner Cash Wheeler in order to become the double champion.
The tag match featured a back and forth action with some great sequences and spots. The two teams dominated Cash for most of the time when Dax was away.
Dax returned to the match with momentum, but it ended in a near-fall on Cobb. In the ending moments of the match, Rocky was targeting the arm of Dax before he got hit by an enzuigiri.
Cash entered the ring and hit Big Rig to Rocky to get the pinfall. With this win, FTR became the first-ever duo to win NXT, Raw, SmackDown, ROH, AAA, AEW, & IWGP tag-team championships.
FTR will soon get a shot at AEW tag titles as well due to their high ranking in the promotion.
