Christian Cage Becomes The New Impact Wrestling World Champion By Defeating Kenny Omega
Christian Cage stated that he is in AEW to win championships, and he started doing what he said by winning the Impact Wrestling World Championship.
Kenny Omega Vs. Christian Cage kicks off the very first episode of AEW Rampage on TNT. Their match was quite brutal with a lot of big moments but in the end, Christian Cage came out victorious.
This is the first time Christian has become an Impact Wrestling Champion. He was a two-time NWA champion during run in TNA. Now, the next challenge for Christian is to defend the titles against Brian Myers next Friday at Impact Emergence.
In tonight’s episode of AEW Rampage, Kenny Omega got the first loss of this calendar year. Whereas with this win Christian becomes 9-0 in the company.
Kenny Omega will get a chance to take revenge for this loss against Christian Cage. Kenny will face the captain’s charisma again at AEW All Out on September 5. In their second bout, Kenny will be defending his AEW World Championship.
Currently, Christian Cage is focusing on his match against Brian Myers as it will be his first title defense. After that focus, he will shift his focus back to Kenny Omega again.
