Belair vs Bayley Last Woman Standing Set for WWE Crown Jewel 2022
WWE has announced a Last Woman Standing match for WWE RAW Women’s Championship between Bianca Belair and Bayley at WWE Crown Jewel 2022 event.
The announcement came during this week’s Smackdown episode as the commentary team also confirmed a match for Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship for the event between The Usos and New Day.
Bayley is after RAW Women’s title ever since her return to WWE at Summerslam in July. She pinned Bianca at Clash at the Castle where she teamed up with her Damage CTRL teammates Dakota Kai & Iyo Sky to take on Bianca, Alexa Bliss and Asuka. Bayley got a title shot on account of pinning the champion, but Bianca was able to retain the title at Extreme Rules in a Ladder match.
Bayley pinned Bianca once in a singles match at RAW this week and became eligible for a title shot once again. Hence, she is getting another chance to win the title in a Last Woman Standing match at WWE Crown Jewel 2022. This will be just the fifth Last Woman Standing match in WWE History.
Bianca and Bayley were earlier involved in a feud in 2021 over SmackDown Women’s Championship. Bianca was able to retain the title twice at Backlash and Hell in a Cell. Another match was scheduled between them at Money in the Bank, but Bayley got sidelined with an injury. The same injury kept her away for more than a year until she returned at Summerslam.
