Welcome to the live results blog for AEW Rampage episode of January 27, 2023, which was pre-taped at Lexington, KY, earlier this week. (Spoilers here)

The show opened with a singles match between Adam Page and Wheeler Yuta. Page has set-up a match against Moxley next week and Yuta confronted him for a match before that showdown. Powerhouse Hobbs was also in action in a singles match.

AEW Women’s Champion Jamie Hayter faced Emi Sakuta in Women’s Title Eliminator match. Best Friends teamed up with Danhausen to take on Jeff Jarrett, Jay Lethal and Satnam Singh in a trios match.

LIVE UPDATES

Adam Page vs Wheeler Yuta

Yuta starts with a dropkick right after the bell. Yuta unloads with punches before putting Page in an octopus stretch. Yuta thwarts Page’s attempt to come back and puts on a leg lock. Page starts to trade punches with him while the leg lock is still on. Yuta puts on a bridge to put pressure on the leg. Page gets to the ropes to break it.

Yuta hits chops in the corner before Page hits back with his chops. Page hits a running elbow to drop Yuta. Page hits chops in the corner. Yuta fires back with his own chops. Page trips him and hits a sliding lariat for a two-count. Yuta sends Page to the apron but Page quickly recovers and hits a German suplex.

Page knocks off Yuta off the apron with a clothesline before hitting him with a crossbody no the floor. Yuta takes advantage when Page wastes time to hit a tope suicida. Yuta hits chops and punches on the floor. Yuta goes for another suicide dive but Page blocks it and hits a powerbomb on the apron. Page hits a liger bomb as they return to the ring to get a near fall. We cut to a break.

Page has a waistlock on Yuta as we return. Yuta gets to his feet and hits back elbows. Page hits an elbow to his back. Yuta punches him and hits a dropkick from the second rope. Yuta hits an inverted atomic drop before flying elbow in the corner. He hits another flying elbow before a running elbow in the corner. Yuta hits a bulldog to get a two-count.

Yuta goes to the top and Page decks him with a punch. Page batters him with headbutts before hitting an avalanche death valley driver for a near fall. Page waits for Yuta to get up and hits a couple of German suplexes. Yuta blocks the third suplex and hits a trio of German suplexes of his own. He goes for the fourth one but Page grabs onto the ropes to block it.

Page gets to the apron. Yuta blocks his boot and hits hammer elbows to his collarbone. Page hits him with headbutts. Yuta ducks a clothesline on the apron and hits a German suplex on the apron and then another one on the floor. Yuta goes to the top and hits a crossbody on the floor. Yuta throws Page back to the ring and goes to the top again. Page gets his knees up on a frog splash. Page hits a big lariat to drop him.

Page gets to the apron but Yuta blocks the Buckshot lariat. Yuta hits a splash from the top but Page kicks out of near fall. Page blocks hammer elbows and gets Yuta on his shoulder. Yuta slips out and fires some shots. Yuta ends up biting Page. Page throws Yuta to the floor but Yuta comes back from the apron only. Page catches Yuta with Buckshot lariat. Page send a message to Jon Moxley as he hits Deathrider on Yuta to get the pinfall.

Winner – Adam Page

We see how Action Andretti and Ricky Starks were livid after their loss to Jericho Appreciation Society. Andretti says JAS did not beat them, but it was a baseball bat that led to their loss. Starks says it is always Sammy or Garcia or Hager or a baseball bat that wins it for Jericho, but he can beat Jericho on his own.


Eddie Kingston cuts a promo backstage and says Demon pushed him. He says he gives up and House of Black has won.

Chuck Taylor, Trent Baretta & Danhausen vs Jeff Jarrett, Jay Lethal & Satnam Singh

Danhausen has an Eukelele to mock Jeff Jarrett and his guitar. Lethal snatches Eukelele from Danhausen and Satnam breaks it.

Lethal rushes Taylor with kicks before Taylor hits him with armdrags. Baretta tags in and Best Friends hit him with double clothesline. Jarrett tags in and kicks at Baretta. Baretta drops Jarrett with a clothesline. Danhausen tag in and work together with Best Friends to beat up Jarrett.

Best Friends hit Lethal with a German suplex. They knock Satnan Singh off the apron. Best Friends and Danhausen were going for a three way hug but their opponent pull them off to the floor. Satnam tags in against Baretta. Baretta hits him with chops and elbows but Satnam no-sells them. Satnam sends Baretta to the corner to unload. We cut to a break with Satnam in control.

Baretta counters Lethal with a roll-up. He lands on his feet on a German suplex and tags in Taylor. Taylor hits Jarrett and Satnam with punches on the apron before bringing down Lethal. Taylor puts on a lock on Lethal but Jarrett breaks it. Taylor counter Lethal with a drop toe hold by a drop toe hold to send him into Jarrett. Taylor puts on figure four on Jarrett.

Satnam Singh uses his reach to tag in from Jarrett. Satnam throws Taylor to the corner. Danhausen tags in. He hits bodyshots and chops on Satnam before a clothesline. Satnam no-sells it. Danhausen ducks Satnam in the corner to send him into the turnbuckle. Best Friends and Orange Cassidy drop Satnam’s face on the ropes for a few times.

Cassidy nails Sonjay Dutt with an Orange punch. Danhausen was looking for a guitar shot on Satnam but the referee blocks it. Jarrett drops Danhausen with Golden Globe award as the referee is getting the guitar away. Satnam stands on top of Danhausen to get the pinfall.

Winners – Jeff Jarrett, Jay Lethal & Satnam Singh

Ruby Soho’s interview gets interrupted by Britt Baker. Soho says Baker could not stay away from the spotlight even when she did not need her help. Baker says there is a clear divide in the women’s division and Ruby should grow a spine and choose a side.

Powerhouse Hobbs vs Tony Mud

Hobbs ducks a clothesline as the bell rings. He hits a big lariat before some corner splashes. Hobbs hits a running press slam to get the pinfall.

Winner – Powerhouse Hobbs

Top Flight are backstage and brings up how they defeated The Young Bucks this week on Dynamite and how they won the Trios Casino Battle Royal. They challenge The Elite for Trios title match next week on Dynamite.


Dustin Rhodes is interviewed backstage and talks about getting back to work after a traumatizing month in his personal life. Shane “Swerve” Strickland and his Mogul Affiliates interrupt him. Swerve insults Dustin and his “brother” before Dustin stops him from insulting Dusty Rhodes. Dustin gets in Swerve’s face but some crew members stop them from getting into a brawl.


Jade Cargill is interviewed backstage when Red Velvet and Keira Hogan interrupt her. Red Velvet challenges her for a match next week for Cargill’s 50th match.

Emi Sakura vs Jamie Hayter

Sakura ducks a lock up a couple of times. Hayter nails her with a big elbow shot. Sakura and Hayter trade chops before Sakura uses a low bridge to send her to the floor. Sakura whips Hayter and ping-pongs her into the barricaide and the apron. She hits a crossbody against the barricade next. Sakura hits more chops on the floor before they get back to the ring.

Sakura whips Hayter through her hair before hitting a crossbody in the corner. Hayter hits back in anger but Sakura is able to trip her and nails a shot to her back. Sakura puts Hayter in a surfboard before we cut to a break.

Sakura hits more chops as we return. Hayter fires back with her chops before Sakura drops her with a double chop. Hayter hits an exploder suplex before hits two more exploders. She hits a running back elbow and a lariat in the corner. The referee separates them from the corner and Hayter hits a backbreaker for a two-count.

Sakura hits another chop after avoiding Haytered. Sakura hits a double underhook piledriver to get a near fall. Hayter hits her with a boot but Sakura ducks a sliding elbow to put her in a pin attempt. Hayter hits a suplex and a sliding lariat for a near fall.

Hayter hits a cutter after putting Sakura on the top turnbuckle. She goes to the top but misses a moonsault. Sakura gets a two-count with a Mahi Stroll. Sakura hits the tiger driver to get another near fall. Sakura hits a moonsault next but Hayter kicks out once again.

Sakura batters her with more punches until Hayter hits back with a lariat. Sakura avoids haytered and hits an exploder. Hayter hits a big lariat and haytered to get the pinfall.
