Welcome to the live results blog for AEW Dynamite April 22, 2023 which was pre-taped earlier in that week in Pittsburgh, PA(spoilers available here).

The main event of the show featured a match for AAA Mega Championship in El Hijo Del Vikingo and La Faccion Ingobernables’ Dralistico in a luchador-style clash. Jon Moxley was in action against Christopher Daniels in another singles match.

Julia Hart looked to continue with her unbeaten run as she faced Keira Hogan in a women’s singles match. Jeff Jarrett, Jay Lethal, and FTR’s Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler tried to take revenge from The Varsity Athletes and Slim J over their attack on Mark Briscoe.

We heard from Jade Cargill just days before she clashed with Taya Valkyrie. Lastly, we also heard Jeff Hardy for the first time since his return to AEW. Tune in below as for results from AEW Rampage April 22, 2023 episode with live updates, complete highlights, and winners.

  • Jon Moxley defeated Christopher Daniels in a singles match via technical submission(referee stoppage).
  • Julia Hart defeated Keira Hogan in a singles match via submission.
  • Dax Harwood, Cash Wheeler, Jay Lethal & Jeff Jarrett defeated Ari Daivari, Mark Wood, Tony Nese & Slim J in a tag team match via pinfall.
  • El Hijo Del Vikingo(c) defeated Dralistico in a singles match via pinfall to retain AAA Mega Championship.

LIVE UPDATES

Jon Moxley vs Christopher Daniels

Both men are already in the ring as the show goes on air. The start with some wrestling on the mat. Daniels counters a side headlock with a couple of pin attempts. Mox hits him with shoulder tackles until Daniels uses a drop toe hold to trip Mox. Daniels puts on a side headlock. He ducks a clothesline and hits another drop toe hold to put on a side headlock once again. Mox pushes Daniels to the corner and takes somes shots.

Daniels hits back with a dropkick before sending Mox to the floor to hit a dive. Mox counters with a back body drop on the floor. Mox sends Daniels into the steel steps to take us to a break.

Mox hits a cutter as we return. He puts Daniels on the top ropes and rakes his back. Daniels fights back and nails a forearm to send Mox back to the floor to hit a crossbody. They trade forearms now. Daniels gets a backslide to get a two-count. Mox goes for a sleeper choke but Daniels drops to his knees to break free. Mox hit a lariat and a piledriver to get a two-count. Mox puts on a bulldog choke and then goes for Deathrider.

Daniels blocks it and hits DDT himself. He hits Angel’s wings but gets late into cover and Moxley is able to kick out. Mox puts on a sleeper again. Daniels drops to the mat again but Mox nails him with hammer elbow to block the counter. Mox puts on a sleeper choke and gets the stoppage from the referee.

Winner – Jon Moxley

Jade Cargill is interviewed backstage. She lets Mark Sterling take over who says they will finally get rid of Taya Valkyrie on Wednesday, and they have added the clause that Taya can’t use the Jaded in this match.


Hook comes out to the ring followed by The Hardys and Isiah Kassidy. Jeff Hardy takes the mic and says he has worked so hard to reach this moment and make this return. Jeff says it is time to retire… screwing up here in AEW. He hypes his run before Matt Hardy says it is time to talk about Firm Deletion. Stokeley Hathaway interrupts them from the big screen and asks him about details on Firm Deletion. Matt says he will let them know in time. Stokeley says he is a changed man and will let it slide. Big Bill,Ethan Page and Lee Moriarty attack everyone in the ring and clear them from the ring. They drag Isiah Kassidy to the stage. Jeff and Matt chase them away with steel chairs.


We see Adam Cole checking on Britt Baker earlier this week on Dynamite and says it is his fault. We will hear from Adam Cole next week on Dynamite.

Keira Hogan vs Julia Hart

Julia ducks lock up attempts from Keira. Keira goes to slap him a few times quickly. Julia throws her on the ropes but Keira comes back and hits a curbstomp. Julia counters and chokes her. Keira runs her over with double ax handles. A snapmare and a kick to face from Keira before she hits a dropkick in the corner. Julia comes back with a jawbreaker and neckbreaker. She hits a standing moonsault to get a two-count. She goes for heartless but Keira is able to break free. Some more quick moves from Julia before she puts on heartless again to put Keira to sleep.

Winner – Julia Hart

Anna Jay runs out to start a brawl with Julia. Some referees runs out and separate them.


Christopher Daniels is interviewed backstage when Claudio Castagnoli and Wheeler Yuta come in. Jon Moxley comes in and says Daniels is cool. Daniels says there is some honor left in Moxley after all. Moxley signals Claudio and Yuta to beat up Daniels and tells him that they have not changed at all.

Dax Harwood, Cash Wheeler, Jay Lethal & Jeff Jarrett vs Ari Daivari, Mark Wood, Tony Nese & Slim J

Dax starts against Slim J who corners Dax to hit several punches. Dax hits a big chop after the referee separate them. Dax hits quick shots and chops before a snap suplex to get a two-count. Dax hits a body slam before dropping Cash on him in a leg drop. Slim J hits Cash with tijeras. Cash hits blows to back and an uppercut. Cash hits a snap power slam before Jay Lethal takes a blind tag. Jarrett is also tagged in for quick double team work on Slim J. They start doing Jarrett’s strutt when Nese and Daviari come in but FTR deal with them. Some argument between FTR and partners before FTR mock them with a strutt behind them. We cut to a break.

Woods has Cash in a headlock in the mat as we return. Mark Briscoe is watching the match from backstage. Cash hits a knee strike on Woods after he gets up. Daviari takes a quick tag to cut off a tag. Cash hits a spin out side slam. He dodges Nese and leaps to tag in Dax. Dax hits big rights on all the opponents. All 8 men get into the ring and FTR and team take the upper hand with punches. Lethal and Cash double team to send everyone to the floor expected Nese. Jarrett goes for a punch on Mark Sterling who ducks and Jarrett catches Dax with it. Nese rolls up Dax but he kicks out of the pin. Dax and Jarrett argue but Jarrett hits The Strobe on Nese. Dax covers Nese reluctantly to get the pinfall.

Winner – Dax Harwood, Cash Wheeler, Jay Lethal & Jeff Jarrett

Team Lethal and FTR continue to argue after the match. Mark Briscoe comes out to calm things down.

El Hijo Del Vikingo(c) vs Dralistico – AAA Mega Championship

La Faccion Ingobernables are out with Dralistico. Dralistico attacks Vikingo during his entrance with a tope suicida on the ramp. Vikingo avoids a springboard as the bell ring. He hits a dropkick to send Dralistico to the floor but misses tope suicida on the ramp. Dralistico takes Vikingo back to the ring after some trash talk from Pero Peligrasso. Dralistico and Vikingo trade some shots. Dralistico lands some elbows. Vikingo fires back with his own elbow shot before a corkscrew kick. Dralistico hits a German suplex before Vikingo hits a reverse hurricanrana. Dralistico hits a Canadian Destroyer to take us to a break.

Dralistico hits a moonsault on the floor as we return. Back to the ring, he hits a codebreaker off the ropes to get a two-count. Vikingo fires back with an overhead chop. Dralistico hits quick kicks. They both go to the top rope and trade punches and slaps. Vikingo sends Dralistico to the apron and hits a Canadian Destroyer there. Vikingo takes Dralistico into the ring. Dralistico distracts the referee and LFI attack Vikingo outside. The referee sees Vikingo down and sends LFI to backstage.

Dralistico rolls up Vikingo to get a close two-count. Vikingo hits another corkscrew kick. Vikingo hits a diving double foot stomp for a near fall. Vikingo gets to the middle rope but Dralistico hits him with a kick and then hits him with hurricanrana to send Vikingo crashing to the floor. Back to the ring, Dralistico puts on an armbar but Vikingo gets to the ropes quickly. Vikingo catches him with a back heel kick and double knees in the corner. He hits a 630-senton to get the pinfall.

Winner – El Hijo Del Vikingo

LFI attack Vikingo to close the show.
