AEW Rampage episode of April 8, 2022, will see the qualifiers for Owen Hart Foundation tournament continue. The show will be pre-taped with AEW Dynamite episode of April 6.

Blackpool Combat Club will be in action with Bryan Danielson taking on Trent Bareta and Jon Moxley facing Wheeler Yuta. Swerve Strickland takes on QT Marshall. Red Velvet will face Willow Nightingale in the qualifier for Owen Hart Foundation Tournament.

Bryan Danielson defeated Trent Baretta after a good back and forth match. Bryan hits Busaika knee and gotch Piledriver in the end before hitting his signature stomps to the face. Bryan puts on the labell lock to get the submission from Baretta.

Hook is interviewed backstage, but he is not interested at all. He has his earphones on, does not reply to any questions, and keeps on eating chips. He gets and Danhausen comes out from a garbage can to curse Hook. It does not work again. Hook throws his chips packet into the garbage can and leaves.

Scorpio Sky is out with Dan Lambert and Ethan Page. He dares anyone to try to do what no one is able to do in 369 days. Sammy Guevara and Tay Conti cut them off. Lambert gets offended in being called a sexist. Sammy says he is not here for a lecture, but for a match. Page calls them a PR disaster week after week. Sammy says they will make their life a living hell every week until he gets his match.

Chris Jericho gives QT Marshall the award of the Sports Entertainer of the Week.

Swerve Strickland defeated QT Marshall. Swerve dominated the match for the most part and ended the match with a dropkick to the knee, a flat liner and a backheel kick to the head to get the pin.

Ricky Starks challenges Strickland and Keith Lee for a tag team match on Dynamite against himself and Powerhouse Hobbs.

Red Velvet defeated Willow Nightingale in the qualifier for the Owen Hart Foundation tournament after a good back and forth match. Nightingale had Velvet in peril with slam into the corner and a cannonball, but Velvet kicked out of the pin. Velvet countered a suplex and hit corkscrew kick to get the pin and win.

Tony Nese gets upset at sombre introduction for him by the interviewer. Mark Sterling comes in and want to legally represent him.

Jon Moxley defeated Wheeler Yuta via referee stoppage. Yuta was cut open midway into this match. He made a comeback with German suplexes. Yuta used Bryan Danielson’s signature stomps and labell lock, but Moxley countered. Mox bite into Yuta’s open wound and countered a crossbody with a paradigm shift for a near fall. Moxley put on the bulldog choke, but Yuta powered out of it. Yuta himself put on bulldog choke, and a rare naked choke. Moxley countered and nailed him with elbows to the collar bone. Yuta then kicked out of the second paradigm shift. Mox put him in a sleeper to pass him out and get the win.

After the match, Bryan Danielson and William Regal get into the ring. Regal was looking for Regal knee but Yuta gets up and asks for it. The crowd started chanting “shake his hand.” Regal shakes Yuta’s hand.

Jon Moxley defeated Wheeler Yuta. Moxley was busted open during the match.

After the main event, William Regal, Bryan Danielson and Jon Moxley added Yuta to the Blackpool Combat Club.
