Welcome to the live results blog for AEW Dynamite’s go-home show for AEW Revolution 2023 event on March 1, 2023.

A stacked card is announced for the show. Face of The Revolution ladder match is brought to Dynamite from Revolution event. Action Andretti, Ortiz, Sammy Guevara, Powerhouse Hobbs, Konosuke Takeshita, Kommander, Eddie Kingston and AR Fox will battle in this match.

MJF and Bryan Danielson will come face-to-face before their match at Revolution. Chris Jericho will take on Peter Avalon while Hook will face Matt Hardy in singles matches. A Casino Tag Team Battle Royal will determine the fourth team for AEW Revolution fatal 4-way tag team title match.

Toni Storm will face returning Riho in a singles match. Orange Cassidy is set to defend AEW All Atlantic Championship against Big Bill. A lot more is expected on the road to Revolution 2023. RESULTS

  • Orange Cassidy(c) defeated Big Bill in a singles match via pinfall to retain AEW All Atlantic Championship.
  • Powerhouse Hobbs defeated Action Andretti, Ortiz, Sammy Guevara, Konosuke Takeshita, Kommander, Eddie Kingston & AR Fox in Face of the Revolution Ladder Match.
  • Chris Jericho defeated Peter Avalon in a singles match via pinfall.
  • Hook(c) defeated Matt Hardy in a singles match via submission to retain FTW Championship.
  • Riho defeated Toni Storm in a singles match via pinfall.
  • Orange Cassidy & Danhausen won Casino Tag Team Battle Royal.

LIVE UPDATES

Orange Cassidy(c) vs Big Bill – AEW All Atlantic Championship

Cassidy shows off but slips out of the ring when Bill tries to corner him. Cassidy gets back into the ring when Bill goes to the floor to catch him. The cat and mouse continues for a while. Stokeley gets into an argument with Cassidy on the floor. OC takes away his goggles and ducks a shot from Bill in the corner. He continues to duck Bill’s shots in the ring. Bill blocks OC’s DDT and hits him with a side slam.

Bill hits a corner splash before hitting a hard whip into the corner. Another hard whip sends Cassidy to the apron before Bill knocks him off with a punch. Bill hits a big blow to his back before unloading with more punches. Hathaway clears the timekeeper’s table and gets it set up on the ramp. Cassidy fights back as Bill goes to chokeslam him. Cassidy fires quick punches and escapes the chokeslam. Bill catches him with another uppercut and hits a chokeslam to put him through the table. We cut to a break.

Danhausen comes out as we return from the break. Bill goes to the floor to intimidate him. Back to the ring, Bill keeps Cassidy in the air for a while before hitting a suplex. Cassidy goes for a lazy punches before Bill counters his Orange punch by putting him in a Full Nelson lock. Cassidy breaks free after a while. Bill goes for a clothesline but Cassidy drops down. Cassidy drops down once again when he goes for a big boot.

Bill goes to the floor to deal with Danhausen as he was about to curse Stokeley. Bill grabs Danhausen as Stokeley hits him with a plaster ladden backfist. Cassidy hits Stokeley and Bill with a suicide dive. He hits an Orange punch on the floor before hitting an Orange punch to the knee. Bill goes for a chokeslam but Cassidy counters with a cutter. More Orange punches from Cassidy before he finishes off the match.

Winner – Orange Cassidy

We get a Moxley promo that he cut after Dynamite went off the air last week. He says he tried to leave Page alone after his first win but Page kept coming after him. Moxley says there is a space for only one beast like him and Adam Page, and while Page might be a great wrestler, Moxley will get the win at Revolution.


The Elite comes out on the stage. Their entrance music is cut off as the lights go off. House of Black appear on the stage when lights come on and off. They beat up The Elite in the dark and hold the trios titles when lights come on again. They disappear after yet another lights off and on.

Action Andretti vs Ortiz vs Sammy Guevara vs Powerhouse Hobbs vs Konosuke Takeshita vs Kommander vs Eddie Kingston vs AR Fox – Face of the Revolution Ladder Match

Eddie is beating up Ortiz on the floor. Andretti hits a suicide dive on Sammy. Kommander hits a sdive on Fox on the floor. Hobbs and Takeshita are also fighting on the floor. Eddie drops a ladder on Ortiz. Andretti hits a dropkick against a ladder on Sammy. Kommander does the same with Andretti a few seconds later. Hobbs drops Kommander with a big shot before he throws him into a ladder in the corner.

Hobbs throws Fox into the ladders a few times before doing the same to Andretti. Sammy decides against taking on Hobbs. Takeshita comes in and starts to hit punches. Hobbs hits back with big shots before Takeshita ducks and sends him into the ladder. Sammy nails Takeshita with a dropkick. Andretti throws him to the floor and hits a suicide dive. Fox hits a moonsault on Andretti and Sammy. Kommander hits a dive on everyone after a ropewalk to take us to a break.

Takeshita blocks Kommader from climbing the ladder. Hobbs decks Takeshita before Fox hits Hobbs with a chair. Hobbs drops Fox on a ladder bridged against the apron. Hobbs and Takeshita wipe each other with clotheslines. Sammy goes to the top of the ladder but Andretti walks up the bridged ladder from the other side. Andretti hits a falcon arrow on Sammy on the bridged ladder in the ring. Kommader hits a shooting star press on Fox.

Kommader gets to the top of the ladder but Takeshita hits him with a blue thunderbomb from the top of the ladder to the mat. Takeshita gets to the top. Andretti joins him and they trade shots. Daniel Garcia pushes the ladder off. He hits Andretti with an Urinage. Sammy and Garcia set up Andretti on a ladder on the floor. Sammy climbs a big ladder on the floor and hits Andretti with a senton on the ladder.

Garcia takes Sammy back to the ring and carries Sammy up the ladder. Takeshita pushes off the ladder this time around. He throws Garcia to the floor before hitting a big knee to Sammy. Hobbs pushes Takeshita off the ladder. He asks the referees to come in and hold the ladder as he climbs to the top and takes the brass ring down.

Winner – Powerhouse Hobbs

Hobbs comes up the ramp to face off with Samoa Joe. Wardlow also comes out and starts to fight off security. Hobbs is just sitting on the ramp watching him. Joe has left to the back already.


Renee Paquette are backstage where we are told that Trent is not cleared for action and Best Friends will not be part of Battle Royal. Danhausen and Orange Cassidy will replace them. Renee asks Cassidy if he is ready for this after a match already tonight. Cassidy says he does not care.

Chris Jericho vs Peter Avalon

Avalon rushes Jericho and takes him down for some ground and pound. Jericho slips to the floor and Avalon hits him with a suicide before unloading with more shots. Back to the ring, Avalon takes his back. Jericho ducks a double ax handle before Avalon hits a pump kick. Avalon hits a springboard crossbody and swinging DDT to get a two-count. Jericho catches him with Codebreaker out of nowhere to get the pinfall.

Winner – Chris Jericho

Jericho hits Avalon with his baseball bat after the match. Ricky Starks runs out and Jericho gets to the floor. Jericho takes the mic and says he will beat Starks on Sunday. JAS surround and attack Starks. Hager hits a powerbomb on Starks. Garcia hits an Urinage before Jericho hits Judas Effect to end the beatdown.


We get a promo from Hangman Adam Page. He says he has nothing to lose here. and Moxley can’t take away his memories from him.


Christian Cage comes out for an interview with Renee Paquette. Cage says he has embarassed Jungle Boy for the past six months when he heard Jake Perry saying that he would become a champion in 2023. Over his dead body. Christian says he will become a champion. Christian continues to talk trash about Perry for a while until the lights go off. We cut to the screen where Jerry is shown digging a grave while we see rushes of thier rivalry. The tombstone at the grave reads Christian Cage.


Tony Schiavone is backstage AEW Women’s Champion Jamie Hayter & Britt Baker. Hayter says beating two bitches is better than beating one bitch. Baker hypes her up to win at Revolution.

Hook(c) vs Matt Hardy – FTW Championship

Hardy gets the wristlock but Hook gets a takedown and Hardy has to catch the ropes to block a submission. Hardy decks Hook to drop him. Hook catches him in a kneebar. Hardy gets to the ropes and slips to the floor. Hook follows him up and throws Hardy back in. Ethan Page drives Hook into the ringpost as the referee was busy with Hardy. Hardy hits a neckbreaker in the ring next.

Hardy slams his face into the turnbuckle before Hook fights back to hit a T-bone suplex. Hardy drops him on the turnbuckle. Hook fights back but Hardy sends him into the turnbuckle once again. Hardy hits Side Effect to get a two-count. Hook fights back again untill they collide into each other. Page takes Stokeley’s cast and hits Hook with it when the referee was distracted again. Hook kicks out of the pin. Hardy goes for a Twist of Fate but Hook puts him in a choke. Hardy taps out immediately.

Winner – Hook

Stokeley Hathaway drops down to his knees on the floor as he will have to face Hook in a singles match with The Firm banned from ringside.


House of Black get a pre-recorded promo and they have trios titles with them. Malakai Black says The Elite have already lost on Sunday.

Toni Storm vs Riho

Toni rushes Riho as she was removing her jacket. Storm continues to be in control for a while and beats Riho. Riho hits back with a dropkick. Riho whips Toni to the corner and hits a knee strike. A suplex from Riho before Saraya tries to distract her. Riho hits another dropkick before a sunset flip in a basement dropkick to get a two-count. Riho puts on crossface in the middle of the ring. Toni gets to the ropes. Saraya distracts Riho, and Toni hits her with a knee from behind.

Saraya attacks Riho from behind on the floor. Toni continues to be in control. Jamie Hayter and Britt Baker come out to the ringside now. Storm hits chops on Riho in the corner. She hits a few kicks to the face. Riho hits back with a kick before Storm hits a snap suplex to get another two-count. Storm puts on a full nelson lock in the middle of the ring. Riho gets back to her feet but Storm slams her to the mat quickly.

Riho hits big boots in the corner before hitting a dropkick and a drop toe hold to set up 619. Storm blocks the 619 but misses a hip attack on the ropes. Riho hits her with a crossbody on the floor. Back to the ring, Riho hits diving foot stomp. She goes to the top again and Storm goes for an avalanche Storm Zero. Riho goes for a sunset flip from the top to get a two-count. Storm sends her into the corner and hits a hip attack. Baker distracts Storm and Riho rolls her up for a pinfall.

Winner – Riho

Storm attacks Baker after the match. Saraya gets into the ring and Hayter joins her to start a brawl. Ruby Soho comes out and starts to fight. Ruby Soho runs out and drops Saraya with a big shot. Ruby then decks Hayter. The brawling continues.


Keith Lee and Dustin Rhodes are backstage and challenge Mogul Affiliates for a tag team match on Rampage.

Tag Team Battle Royal

Dark Order’s John Silver and Alex Reynolds are the first team in the match. They are attacked by Blackpool Combat Club’s Claudio Castagnoli and Wheeler Yuta on the floor. We cut to a break.

We return to see the action continuing in the ring. LFI’s Rush and Preston Vance enter the match. LFI first beat up Claudio and Reynolds in the corner before hitting moves in tandem on others in the ring. Claudio and Rush slug it out with chops in the middle. Lucha Bros enter the match next. They hits crossbody on several men before some double-team attacks. Rey Fenix and Claudio fight to the apron. Claudio hits a big boot on Rush before hitting an uppercut. Claudio is looking to throw Fenix over but Penta saves his brother. Rush now fights Penta near the ropes.

Aussie Open joins the match now. They enter the match with a spinebuster on Silver before a backbreaker on Rush. Silver hits an uppercut on Claudio. He goes to throw Claudio but Yuta saves him. Dark Order duo work double team on Yuta and puts him to the ropes with Claudio. Aussie Open stop them from eliminating BCC. Claudio and Yuta pulls Dark Order out and eliminates them. We cut to a break.

Matt Menard and Angelo Parker from JAS have joined the match during the break. Top Flight run in as we return from the break. They go after Yuta with combination attack. They throw Claudio to the apron. Top Flight eliminate Matt Menard. The Kingdom enter the match next. They fight Top Flight. Bennet hits a Death Valley driver on Dante before Taven hits a running knee. They also drop Darius. Penta distracts them as Aussie Open drop them with snap German suplexes.

Ari Daivari, Josh Woods and Tony Nese pull Lucha Bros out and send them into the barricade. Woods hits a suplex on Penta on the floor. LFI eliminate Lucha Bros after this attack. Dante Martin throws Rush out to eliminate him. Vance throws Darius to the apron in response. Rush goes to hit Darius with a hip attack but Darius counters. Vance is thrown out by Top Flight.

Top Flight now fight Aussie Open. Davis pushes Dante off the top rope when he was going for a nose dive. Fletcher hits a German suplex on Darius to eliminate him. Danhausen and Orange Cassidy enter the match. Danhausen takes Parker into the ring. Danhausen goes to curse Parker but Parker decks him. Cassidy clotheslines Parker to eliminate him.

Aussie Open and The Kingdom get eliminated quickly after The Butcher & The Blade join the match. Dark Order come out and distract BCC. Cassidy throws out Yuta. Cassidy hits Claudio with Orange punch and Danhausen helps him to throw him over the ropes. The Gunn Club come out to the ramp. The Butcher and The Blade beat down Danhausen and Cassidy now. Danhausen is thrown out from under the ropes. B&B double team on Cassidy with tandem attacks. They go near the ropes to work on Cassidy when Danhausen puts them over the ropes to eliminate them.

Winner – Orange Cassidy & Danhausen

After the match, Jeff Jarrett and Jay Lethal attack Orange Cassidy and Danhausen. The Gunn Club also join the beatdown. The Acclaimed run out to make the save.


Bryan Talks Down MJF

We get a special video package for MJF vs Bryan Danielson ironman match with inputs from Excalibur, Renee Paquette, Jim Ross, Christopher Daniels and others.

Bryan Danielson comes out to the ring. Renee Paquette interviews him and references a tweet from MJF back in 2014. Bryan says he retired in 2016 and returned two years later because when you fight for your dreams, your dreams fight for you. MJF interrupts him with his entrance. Bryan tells MJF to shut up and says MJF hates him because everyone respects Bryan. Bryan says MJF deserves his fiance leaving him.

MJF throws off his jacket and walks down the ramp. Bryan continues with his promo and says he had a job that would have paid him for the rest of his life, but he came to AEW because he wanted to fight. He has one dream since coming to AEW: winning AEW World Championship. He tells MJF that he will get his f##king head kicked in at Revolution. MJF is shocked at Bryan’s promo and goes back. Bryan closes the show in the ring.
