Adam “Hangman” Page & Kenny Omega defeated Best Friends(Trent & Chuckie T), Proud N’ Powerful(Ortiz & Santana) and The Young Bucks(Matt & Nick Jackson) in a fatal 4-way tag team match to become the #1 contenders for AEW World Tag Team Championship. Adam Page hit a low blow on Matt Jackson in the closing seconds of the match. Omega and Page with the buckshot lariat / v-trigger combo on Taylor to get the win.
Post-match, Matt gets in the ring and gets into an argument with Page for the low blow. Kenny Omega tried to calm down Matt and Nick.
Cody Rhodes came out to discuss MJF’s stipulation that he put for their match to be fixed at AEW Revolution. He told us that MJF is just trying to stall the match and he agrees to all the conditions- Facing Wardlow in a steel cage match and the other two stupid ones.
Joey Janela addresses his ex-girlfriend Penelope Ford hitting him with a low blow last week. He asked Kip Sabian to stop using her to get over and face him instead.
Kris Statlander & Hikaru Shida defeated Brandi Rhodes and Mel in a tag team match. The match had a few botched spots and was of overall low quality. The finish came when Shida and Brandi were brawling outside the ring and Statlander countered a piledriver to get the pin on Mel.
Dark Order spokesperson cut a recorded promo where he talked about getting to Kenny Omega through Michael Nakazawa and targetting Adam Page.
Jon Moxley defeated Sammy Guevara to qualify for the #1 contender match next week. Post-match, AEW World Champion Chris Jericho and the rest of the Inner Circle ganged up on Moxley and beat him down. Jericho ended up stabbing Moxley with a spike on his forehead.
MJF, The Butcher & The Blade defeated Dustin Rhodes, QT Marshall and DDP in a 6 men tag team match. MJF got the pin on QT Marshall with a roll-up.
AEW World Tag Team Champions SCU were discussing their match next week when a drunk Adam Page came around. Page spills some of his drink on Christopher Daniels and Kenny Omega had to claim everyone down.
PAC defeated Darby Allin to advance to the #1 contender match next week against Jon Moxley. The finish came after a sitdown powerbomb and black arrow from PAC.
Post-match, PAC had an in-ring interview with Tony Schiavone where he declared himself as the #1 contender since Moxley is already injured. Moxley came out from the ambulance he was loaded into and towards the stage. He took the mic and declared that he will compete next week no matter what.
