AEW has announced another Dynamite Special episode on August 10, 2022, titled as Quake by the Lake.
This will be the sixth Dynamite special episode from AEW since June after Road Rager(June 22), Blood and Guts(June 29), two nights of Fyter Fest(July 13 & 20) and Fight for the Fallen(July 27).
Additionally, an interim AEW World Championship match is also announced for the show between Jon Moxley and Chris Jericho. Moxley defeated Rush in a title match this week on Dynamite. After the match, Chris Jericho and rest of his stable came to the stage and Jericho announced that he will get his World title rematch against Moxley after two and a half years.
Moxley defeated Jericho at AEW Revolution 2020 event to become the second AEW World Champion. He held onto the title until December that year when he was dethroned by Kenny Omega. Moxley is currently the Interim AEW World Champion as the CM Punk, the world title holder, was sidelined due to an injury and subsequent surgery.
Later in the evening, during AEW Rampage tapings for this week’s show, Jericho interrupted ROH World Champion Claudio Castagnoli and ROH Pure Champioin Wheeler Yuta. Yuta ended up challenging Jericho for Dynamite next week where his title shot against Moxley will be on the line.
