EVENT NOTES
In May, a report from Chris Parnelli of MMA Ecosystem stated that UFC was targeting a return to Singapore for a Fight Night event on August 26. The report also mentioned that Road to UFC 2023 semifinal bout would also take place around this event.
UFC President Dana White made the event and main event official via video on UFC’s social media on June 15. A featherweight bout between Max Halloway and The Korean Zombie(Chang Sung Jung) was announced to headline this event by Dana White.
Talia Santos and Erin Blanchfield were set to clash at UFC Vegas 69 in February 2023. However, Santos had to pull out when her cornerman were not allowed a visa. Blanchfield then faced Jessica Andrade at the event and defeated her via second-round submission. The fight between Santos and Blanchfield was later rebooked for UFC Singapore.
