2022 PFL Playoffs 1 Results (Lightweight & Light Heavyweight)
PFL 2022 season continues with Playoffs 1 event on August 5, 2022, from Hulu Theater at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
The show is divided into 3 parts- prelims, main card, postlim qualifiers. All three parts will be available on ESPN+ streaming while the main card will be The main attraction of the card will be the semifinal bouts of Lightweight and Light Heavyweight tournaments for this season.
The main event from the main card will be between Anthony Pettis and Stevie Rey. Rey upset the #1 seed, Pettis in the last bout in the league phase. The winner between Pettis and Rey will face the winner of Olivier Aubin-Mercier vs Alexander Martinez bout from the same card.
Omari Akhmedov vs Josh Silveira Light Heavyweight semifinal will be the co-main event. The winner will proceed to the final to face the winner of Robert Wilkinson vs Delan Monte bout.
The prelims card will feature two qualifiers for 2023 Challenger Series season – Elvin Espinoza vs Corey Jackson Lightweight bout and Brahyan Zurcher vs Ricardo Jimenez Featherweight bout. Postlim Qualifiers card will feature two bouts for 2023 Regular Season qualifiers. Cory Hendricks vs Marthin Hamlet will be a Light Heavyweight qualifier while Marcelo Nunes vs Dylan Potter will be a Heavyweight qualifier.
